So you mean to say Ive just spent the past half hour tearing my network apart for nothing?

For minute by minute awesomeness, there is no better online game than BF2. However, it is technically crippled by its interface. It has maybe the least responsive ingame browser in history of videogames. You cannot use programs like all seeing eye, at least not without patches to fix it. And its load times. My system was top notch when the game came out, on this system, the load times are horrendous. Sometimes it takes so long to load up a map, the round wil have finnished and the next map will load.

This may not be the case for you if you have a really top notch system now, but a High end system upon release has 3 or 4 min load times.

I remember reading about a game a few years ago now, thinking I wanted to get it and then forgetting about it.

I think its a real time strategy, something where u can build up a nation and take over the world sort of thing.

Apparently you can go through your nations stages, from like spears to the future with lasers.

If I could have the name of it I would be very grateful.

Although BioShock is a fantastic game, maybe the best overall game out of the 5, it is REDICULOUS that its even being concidered for best shooter.

Anybody who has played the demo will tell you that its shooting mechanics are not up to scratch.

I bet half of those people who voted Halo have never played Goldeneye or the Half Life games. And if they have played half life, its been the really poor console ports.

I personally voted Half Life. Although it could be either Half Life or Half Life 2. Not only is it the true Godfather of 3D FPS', its also a fantastic exercise in story telling.

Goldeneye was good in its day, but it simply does not hold up by todays standards, whereas Half Life 1 does.

Steven Spielberg, arguably the master of action epics, makes a puzzle game that looks like some college flash project...

I think this says more about the Wii than Spielberg.

UT 2003 and Counter Strike. Cant choose between them.

Although, I found that UT2k3 was more enjoyable with the brilliant bots, than it was with humans. Anybody else find that?

I am not a Metroid fan and dont particulary think the Wii is a great console. However, I do believe that the Metroid games are pretty good, and just like Bioshock, when everybody is rating the game .5 to .10 higher then Gamespot goes and gives it the score it does... well.

Gamespot has lost it with reviews. Even a lemming can see that Metroid deserves more than AA.

I trust Eurogamer above everybody else. I think they gave Gears an 8 and Bioshock a 10 which is exactly how I would score those games, and I think everybody but gamespot has scored (ie, bioshock above Gears)

Its all been downhill since Greg left. REALLY downhill.
