Im a 360 and PC gamer in equal measure. But damn, Battlefield 2 Modern Combat was massivly dumbed down for the 360. It wasnt even funny. Infact, it didnt even feel like the same series.

I have high hopes but low expectations for Bad Company. Unfortunatly my PC needs some upgrading to be at a "Vista" level of gaming standards now. So there will be a shift from pc to 360 in the future cus I cant afford upgrades right now.

However, I disagree that Call of Duty 2 was dumbed down for 360 and therefore the PC. Yes it was lacking in the online side of things limited to only 8 players, but as a fan of Call of Duty 1 which I played hundreds of hours on the PC multiplayer and completed the single player 2 times over, Call of Duty 2 was a step up rather than a step down.

Ive been playing games since I was 3 when my Grandad bought me an Atari for christmas. Im now on the verge of 19. Videogames have been my main pasttime throughout my lifetime without fail. And I can tell you that I have never been less excited about a console than I have the Wii.

My best friend got one for christmas, we went round, played wii sports for about 2 hours. Then pretty much said "what else does this do". I dont like Zelda, but he loves it. However, now he has completed it, he never plays it. More to the point, we never play it. Both hardcore gamers. And its not like hes not tried to get into it, hes bought warioware, red steel, super monkey ball etc.

Infact, last time I was round at his house, I brought my 360 hard drive over and plugged it into his Xbox and played shadowrun while he joined me from his Vista PC. And that was more fun than we have ever had on his Wii.

I used to work in Gamestation here in the UK, and I regulary go in to see the staff cus they were great to work with etc. etc. Anyway, I was in yesterday, and this big fat woman and her dopey looking husband asked if they had any Wiis in. When they said yes they do, she actually screamed, alerting the whole shop (said she had been in 9 other places). It was embarrasing. Although it was embarrasing for her, it was also an embarrasing day to be a gamer. Now she could have been buying it for a small child/granchild I wasnt convinced that it wasnt for her. She was the sort of big fat loud woman who takes a breath in before she laughs. I bet she will be playing it.

Anyway, my mate who works in there says that he never sees any of the regular shop people or anybody who talks about games like they know them or looks like a hardcore gamer buy a Wii. Its always middle aged fat women, strange looking men, or families with small children. He said most people he would class as hardcore, or long time gamers go for the 360 and that they only sell about 2 PS3s a week mainly to older gamers (mid 40s) since he rekons they are the only ones who can realistically afford it.

So yea, to sum up. I hate the Wii, I think its a massive gimmick, its certainly not the console to revolutionise the FPS. Graphics and Sound suck, my friend has a 42 inch HD plasma with surround sound setup, and the difference between a Wii game and a 360 game on that thing is massive. Controller is garbage and never an exact science.

Nostalgic gamers may enjoy the Wiis Mario games etc, but any hardcore gamer who swears hand on heart cannot really say that the Wii is a console to be excited about.

Low res wall textures are excusable, because lets face it, if you are looking at a wall, you are gonna get dead.

However, that enemy is just 1 big grey texture stretched over a wire frame. At least it looks like that. Also, people said the gun looks good, I dont think it does. Look at the grip at the front, its almost Half life 1 sprite-like. Hard to explain but if you know what I mean you will probably agree.

Any list that is missing either Max Payne 1 or Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne is a list not worth reading.

The first was one of the most important action games ever made, with an amazing story and voice acting.

The second was an amazing action game, with a brilliant story, characters, voice acting, rag dolls and overall gunplay.

Although many people know Max Payne from the console versions, please dont judge these incredible games on low rate console ports. Judge them on a gaming PC and you will find them to be amazing.

Max Payne 2 is my fav game of all time. (Does it show? :P)

I think its time I pointed out that the thread starter probably cannot afford a 360 and a HD tv for HD gaming, therefore, says the 360 is not worth it.

I have a friend who does that, everything is rubbish until he gets it. He got a 360 3 weeks ago, he is now addicted to Oblivion and Gears MP.

This is something which has divided me and my friends for years (in a sort of, it dosnt ruin our lives way). Which is the better game?

Ive always said Vice City. Simply because it knew what it could do and did it well. Whereas San Andreas did alot well, but added in too much filler. For example, an under developed gym system.

What do you think?
