maintance maybe? but normally they would warn before... or Microsoft headquarters is being invaded by penguins... i choose the second option...

Thank God! I was so pissed I kept running the Network test and everything would be confirmed except xbox live I thought I was going to have to send it in because I thought my friends were still on and my 360 was just F'd up.

Ya, know with all of these hours and hours of downtime over the past year or so, they should reimburse our live accounts. Or, better still... "Make Xbox Live Free".

Its down for me too. I phoned up the UK xbox helpline and they said its down for maintenance, it should be about half an hour.
