I tried to like Xlll but the game just didnt work for me. the graphics were kinda kool the storyline was OK but overall it just didnt mesh too make a good game. also I picked a copy up new for $5.99 and still gave it to a friend after I beat the first 3 levels.
Well , we'll go next-gen when we feel its the right time .... right now it's not worth the money ........ besides , I still have a lot of great games left to play on my good ol PS2 :)

AGREED Im waiting for the 360 to hit around $249.00 then I MIGHT pick up a next-gen console or Ill just go with the Wii. Theres NO WAY ill be picking up a PS3 until it hits at least $300.00 retail. There are still at leat 50 more AAA games I have yet to purchase and play on my PS2s one fatty and one slim(y).
actually Metal Gear Solid the Twin Snakes is the ONLY Gamecube game I own right now. I still have the original and play through it about twice a year on PS2 and played through my friends copy of the PSone version at least 3 times the same week it was released back in the day. I like both the PSone original and GC remake equally they both have their advantages and small negatives. The PSone original + the best musical score/actually DIRECTED by KOJIMA himself/ better voice acting even though 90% of the original cast came back for the twin snakes. the Gamecube remake + better graphics = the way I always envisioned the game should have looked like/ better cutscenes (sure some MGS purists say they are too flamboyant but I luved the cutscenes in the twin snakes) BUT the one BIG NEGATIVE for the Twin Snakes is that is it far too easy a game for any real hardcore Metal Gear fans since the original wasnt designed for use with a first person perspective.

I luv the PS2 extras but the Wii version will be the best overall with the both the smoother graphics of the GC ver and the great extras of the Playstation 2 version.
although I think the ps2 version is an excellent port but thats for another thread.
Right now only 20 not including PSone games but all together ive owned well over 100 games for the PS2 but have sold or traded most of them at one time or another wich I no longer do that
All that matters to me is that I have all of my Silent Hills 1-4 after that its all good
