Resident Evil wowed me, Wipeout got me hooked, then Final Fantasy VII, MGS and Silent Hill sealed my fate. I always remember those days when I think of Playstation, so I guess in some ways I'll always think of Sony more fondly than other console manufacturers until I am wowed like that again.
It's called networking...probably not a big deal in the US, but here in AU, if you can find players that are good to play with and don't lag the hell out of your rooms, it's a good idea to try to game with them consistently, particularly with games like COD 4 that has totally useless matchmaking capabilites, especially later at night.
Can't remember what the first game I bought this year was.....maybe Unreal Tournament 3......maybe FF Tactics......maybe The Club....I'd say it'd be out of those.....
