The only games I can finish withing 3-5 days are the Call Of Duty's,NBA(franchise),NCAA Football (franchise) and I completed Halo 3 in three days.All the other games I play for a stretch,get bored and usually come back to them,a few months down the line...only to get bored with them once again...so sad....:?
Awe man that sucks. My elite RRoD about two months ago and the only positive i could pull outta it was that i would get it back before gears. I swear, if it werent for games like gears and halo, i'd would never have considered getting this defective crapbox. Hope u get this sorted out soon man. But in the meantime i'll play enough gears for the both of us :P4NGoods

Can't really "help" you justify spending almost $400 of your money on another console but I can tell you my simple story:
I'm a SONY person but in 2005 I made up my mine that I wasn't going to spend what SONY was asking for the PS3 the following year.And I purchased the Xbox360,my first microsoft gaming console,never bought that ugly-azz looking xbox.
Pretty much I was impressed with my purchase until the horror stories of the RROD. Didn't effect me until last year (summer) while playing Gears Of War...I bought an Elite (hoping to avoid it) and Microsoft sent me a new core when I mailed the defective one to them.
I became gun shy and wasn't playing the 360 as much as I was before the RROD.
Hence when Sony dropped the price on the PS3 in Feb...I ran out and got one....and never looked at my 360,actually it's in the closet...it's been there since Feb...but I will play it again when Gears Of War2 comes out.
Not saying that the PS3 is fail proof probably far from it but I feel it's up to the consumer. If your looking for "exclusives" well I think that era has come and gone,the way the economy is now I believe developers have no choice but to go multi-platform to break even.Look at alot of the so call exclusives that use to be just on one console.
Anything made by SONY will probably stay with SONY,just like with Microsoft...though it would be something to see Gears of War 2 on the PS3 but I don't think Sony would be willing to let Socom go to the Xbox360........:?
They probably don't think you know your consumer rights...so what you do is call the Better Business Bureau and I bet Sony might sing a different tune.......
If it was rated R the demographic that plays or played/or knows anything about the game,wouldn't be able to go see it.PG-13 gets the ones who the movie is focused on in the theater but also makes as violent as tolerated.
Hitman was a decent movie---I can't remember if it was R or PG-13 but I'm going with it was an R...
