I just got gears 2 at curcuit city and 1600 microsoft points all for 60$, apparently it is their special promotion for the game. I dont know how long they are going to be doing this but i am very happy i decided to get the game at circuit city!!
Gamestop midnight release also comes with gold-plated hammerBURST. It comes in the form of a Xbox Live card, inside the game case. So unless you were at the midnight release, you won't be able to get that special offer. To be honest, unless you have some sort of fetish for gold.. I wouldn't even bother with it. It's not all that great. I prefer the original skins. All it shows is that you're a die hard fan, you wanted the other stuff that came with the limited edition, and/or you like gold-plated stuff.
I'm sure they'll be "out" of them just like they are with every promotion they have. I hate Circuit City, they always use "bait and switch" tactics, and that's why they've been sued MULTIPLE times.
Dang this sucks, I can't keep up with all the games coming out! I still have to get Fable 2 and Farcry 2. Now Gears 2 came out and even CoD: WaW is coming out soon.
