Borat made fun of everyone! The guy who wrote and plays Borat, Sacha Baron Cohen is a British Jew himself. The movie was mostly making fun of the types of people who hold ignorant racist, sexist and homophobic views, such as the character Borat himself and some of the people he spoke to ... I don't think there are many more Jewish jokes in the media than there are aimed at other groups. But I'd say the majority of jewish jokes are made by comedians who are jewish themselves.

I do think some people mix up anti-semitism with anti-zionism though. Just because someone criticises the zionist movement, does not make them an anti-semite.

So who won in the fight between u and the emo?

blooddemon666

if i read correctly, he got the **** beat out of him... literally

I wish I had philosophical graffiti in my home town... its all "stacy is a whore" and "for a good time call..." and various racial slurs... nothing enlightening.

I'm an athiest, but I'd hardly call "Religion is the worst thing to ever be made by mankind" particularly philosophical or enlightening. Its not very original. I think you'd get a more enlightening conversation if you called the number for a good time.

The stalls at my uni always have stuff like Cock Fun?" written on them, then some other guy will write something next to it like "Yeah, When, Where? Here?" ... And so it goes on. It seems like the slowest, most ineffective way to organise a sexual encounter. Surely you could do it so much quicker on the internet?

Well I suppose I should explain why this topic is even available.

Last year, near the end of the year they had to close down the entire west wing hallway because the administrators found "white stuff" all over the carpet and there were rumors of the students doing it there because it is wide open until 2nd peiod as no teachers have classes there until that hour.

Well, the result was a MAJOR increase in pregnancies and STDs for our student body, all the way from freshmen to seniors.

I still don't think we should HAVE to put condoms in the bathrooms but at this point I think it necessary.

Hasnt your class ever heard of pulling out?

I know this was probably a joke. But you know pulling out is a pretty risky method right? It doesn't protect against STDs and it doesn't completely protect against pregnancy, as there is some degree of semen in your pre-ejaculate, which is secreted long before you actually ejaculate.

Yeah I was shocked when I found out... pretty disappointing, I'm not an England fan, but it's always more exciting with more of the better/most popularteams in the competition.

I don't think England are currently better than Croatia or Russia. England play boring football, with very little passion at the moment. I think the tournament will be better without them ... But then maybe that's just my prejudices coming through.

Taxes are fairly high, I think they are about average for Europe. Probably higher than the US, but thats how these things work. You can't provide State health care etc. without taxes. The point is, it is based on the idea that everyone should be entitled to a decent standard of health care, not just the wealthy. You don't have to fill in a tax return unless you are self employed, or you received some kind of income that is not through your employment etc. We have a system here called Pay As You Earn, which means your employer is legally obliged to calaculate your tax for you and it is taken from your wage. You never actually receive the taxable income.

Yes, McClaren should go, but its not all his fault. The players just aren't as good as the English media and some England fans like to believe. They are not world class. They should be qualifying for major tournaments, but they can't expect much more. To think fans criticised Sven for "only being a quarter-final manager" ... Getting to a quarter final would be an amazing achievement for these players. Taking England to the quarter finals of major tournaments was over-achievement by Sven.

I'm looking forward to Euro 2008. I'm sad not to see Scotland there obviously, especially after how close we ran France and Italy in our group. But I am immensely proud of the Scottish team, I recognise we over-achieved and think we are making real progression. I'm looking forward to the World Cup qualifiers. I don't think I'd be saying that if I was English.

[QUOTE="Kid-Icarus-"]A good game is a good game. Whether it's short or long. No one argues that a book has to be long to be good, or a film, or an album. You pay the same price to go see a 90 minute comedy at the cinema as you do to see Lord of the Rings ... And a really good 90 minute comedy can be just as enjoyable. So why should it be any different for games?Zeliard9

Because gaming is interactive. Watching movies is not.

And how exactly does that have any relevance on the conversation? It doesn't negate my argument in any way, It is still exactly the same principle. Whether it is an interactive medium or not is a totally unrelated issue.
