Looks very interesting, but no one is making any fuss about it except the makers themselves. They say it will be the first game of the new genre which combines rts and fps, which in itself feels like a false statement. Still the game looks interesting. Any thoughts? http://www.gamespot.com/video/928209/6166881/field-ops-official-trailer-2

And while I'm on it, does anyone remember what other games used this blend? I know there was some Egyptian RTS that allowed you to take control of heroes in 3rd person mode, but I'm sure there's more.

Moscow - Russia - Gorbushka market - pretty much every PC game - $10 :P and yes licensed. Theyu probably have even better prices in China. Go on vacation some day and take one day to go shopping. :)

PS3 and Xbox360 games have the same price as in Europe for some reason.

And the solution was all this time: stick to XP until the PC parts get cheaper again.

OK GUYS here's the deal.

I do not know about the forums but here's what I did to fix my spaces problem when writing reviews.

1. Delete the review.

2. Copy from Word into Notepad, save document, close, re-open, make paragraphsand copy that text.

2. Re-enter the editor and paste the notepad review

3. By hand remove all the spaces in between paragraphs and then recreate them

One of those things did the trick even though I tried all of them before separately. Aparently the problem beforewas that I was trying to edit the review that was already messed up beyond repair.

EDIT: What helped me (at least for my thinking process) is a post by one ofour union people. This might have value for all of you when it comes to forum posts:

"My experience has been that spacing problem occurs whenever GameSpot's text editor places a "nbsp" symbol (with an ampersand before and a semi-colon aftewards) somewhere in the HTML source code. This usually happens after I delete or insert some text in the middle of a sentence. If you copy the source code after finishing your post to Notepad and have some word processor replace all those "nbsp" symbols with a space, then repaste the altered post into the editor's HTML source code, it should work. (Whew!) If you don't catch the nbsp symbols before posting, you won't be able to find them afterwards since they're converted into empty spaces. Other than that, I would just say "preview" while asking why this problem hasn't been fixed yet."

Morrowiiiiiiiiind! :) 2002 game, still pretty graphics (and even prettier with mods), takes forever to play out with all the add-ons (that are still being built). Also Half Life 2 with lighting option off (useless option anyway I thought) HL gave great performance.Ā BTW somehow, I noticed that Laptops tend to be faster than PCs with similar specs. Don't know what that's all about but that laptop sounds pretty powerful.

This should really be in the Hardware forum, I'd say more chance for help there.

[QUOTE="Jedo"]

I always try and finish the game no matter how bad it gets. At least if I give it a bad review later I can honestly say to have seen the whole thing.Ā There were a few exceptions however:

1.Ā Ā Rainbow Six Lockdown, after a few hours. Reason: disgust, after realising just how shallow and broken the game was compared to a normal Rainbow Six game

2. Prince of Persia Two Thrones. The last battle was so hard that at the thought of how much time I will have to spend to get it right, repating the same sequence of keys over and over and over again, I just turnedĀ the game off and forgot about it. I'm so happy the old days of simplistic arcade games are over. If I played some of those games now, I wouldĀ go so madĀ that I'd start a killing spree outside my home.Ā Death to the repetitive gameplay!

3. Rsident Evil Nemesis. During one of the early boss fights the bad controls pissed me off so much that I think I kind of kicked the PS and it kind of broke. That was at the very end of my PS era.

4. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4. about 30 minutes, from boredom and annoyance.Ā I think it was...I got a game not realising that I was already tired of THPS series.

5. City Life. about 30 minutes, boredom. Somehow I got my hopes up that this would be more interesting than SimCity 4. It was much less interetsing. Maybe I'm just over SimCity-like gameplay.

bawa_almighty

dude u talking about the vizier in a bee like wingy thing?the only thing i ahted about that battle was the stupid blocks and the second part.you hit one and a whole chunk of your life goes.and the sequence where you have to swing from pole to pole was bad too but i masterd itmy 12th time.lol.any ways i felt the battle with the swordsman and axe dude was super tough.i coudnt get thier weakness .that boss was crazy.

Yeah, the vizier fight and yes, that one part where he shoots stuff as you climb. I just found it to be too... hard 90s repetitive arcade shooter.

The words "Metal Gear" in the title lol

Generally: a good amount of stuff to do; balance between too hard and too easy; either advanced or well used graphics; longativity; originality

[QUOTE="Jedo"]Not sure why this topic isn't locked yet....martinoob

Why should it be locked?

Its a fun question.... Don't take things so seriously.

Yeah butĀ admins don't like "What's better?" , "What's the best?" or "This thing s*cks" kinds of topics. They used to lockĀ these up quickly.
