Crackdown 3, is the only correct answer. lol :P

Say what you will about Crackdown 3, but I downloaded it through Game Pass and had good fun with it.

I hope if they ever make a Crackdown 4, MS accepts that it's not a $60 title, doubles down on the few parts that are really fun and makes a more condensed version of that.

Kotaku thinks every game studio has a toxic work environment. They make their money stirring up outrage, and if you reach out to employees of any company that has hundreds of people working there, there's a 100% chance you can find three of them who thinks the job sucks.

Kotaku takes those comments, doesn't fact check with anybody else, and "reports" on it.

One of the first pieces of advice from veteran devs: "Don't ever talk to Kotaku."

You lost me on your first sentence: "they just did last of us remastered on PS4"

The Last of Us Remastered came out nearly 8 years ago. I've lived in three different states since the PS4 version came out. That does not qualify as "just did."

The unwritten wait period for a remake is typically 10 years, so Naughty Dog is coming in a little early with this one per the norms of the industry, but at the end of the day, if you want the game, buy it. If you don't think it's worth $70, then don't buy it.

If $70 is such an astronomical amount of money that you have to question people's intelligence for spending $70 on something you don't like or understand, that's a sign that you shouldn't really be spending $70 on anything and should open a savings account.

I got an opportunity to meet Harvey earlier this year. His understanding of game design is otherworldly, and he's a genuinely kind human being.

Could not be more excited for this title. First player/multiplayer... I'm in.

I have tremendous respect for both Harvey and Raphael Colantonio. Their partnership provided one of the best games I've ever played: Dishonored.

I'm still meaning to get into Weird West. Harvey gave a talk at GDC this year and mentioned Weird West several times. It seems like a really interesting take on an immersive sim.

Hitman 3 only released a year and a half ago, and that came out roughly three years after Hitman 2, while using the same foundation from Hitman 1 that had already gone through extensive pre-production, iteration, etc...

It's likely that the 007 game will have similarities to what IO did with Hitman, but they likely also want to make it distinct to the character and series and not just "Hitman with James Bond skin."

My best guess is that it will be ready to show by E3 2023 at the earliest, and more likely around early 2024 with a holiday 2024 or early 2025 release.

I'm pumped for 007; I don't think there's a more obvious match for a studio and a franchise than IO and 007 (and I know I'm not the only one who's said that), but I unfortunately think it's gonna be awhile...

...wut? What did Microsoft pay for? I doubt they paid for anything. When your game is added to a big presentation like this, the devs making the game are typically the ones paying for the advertising time; because that's what that is: advertising.

When you're a console maker, part of the deal gets to be: we'll announce your game during our show, but we're not putting the names of other consoles the game's on during our advertising presentation for our console.

Thinking that MS paid Atlus is absolutely backwards. That's not how ads work. And that was and ad. We were watching ads.

This is exactly it. Spinning it into "two day exclusivity" is insane.

I want to make sure I'm not missing anything: are the people on this board spinning it as 2 day exclusivity, or is Microsoft spinning it as 2 day exclusivity?

The cows are spinning it as two day exclusivity, when MS likely just asked Atlus to refrain from talking about other consoles for a couple of days given they just gave the series one of the biggest plugs it's ever going to get.

Ah fanboys... Such silly humans that provide such an endless supply of entertainment :)

It looks interesting enough to download. The gameplay looked okay but at least looked lightyears ahead Skyrim and Fallout 4.

The engine looks like it's running slightly better than Skyrim and Fallout 4.

I'm not buying the "1000 planets" until they show the diversity of gameplay options and that it won't just be randomly wandering around hoping to find something of interest.

The gunplay and weapon aesthetic look like they've been hanging out with the folks at id.
