they just did last of us remastered on ps4 this is nothing but resolution frame rate bump from that version no work is being done on this game it is not a 70 dollar game its a 70 dollar last of us remaster ps5 patch from the ps4 game.

If this price is over 20 dollar we need to email Sony and naughty dog and start some boycott asap for people that own and bought last of us remaster on ps4 we should be outraged and shocked at any price point over 10-20 dollars literally no work was done on this game it was a one man job bumping up resolutions and framerate settings literally one man job here.

lmao! I 100% agree, you're an idiot if you buy this upgrade. In fact, you're worse than that, because it will just encourage sony to do more of this nonsense. You all need to stand up for your rights as consumers and boycott this.

being poor or not has nothing to do with the argument he is making... people who are wise with their money set limits on how much they are willing to spend on their "hobby" for him (and many others) $70 is too much. I personally am not willing to spend $70 for a game, I will wait until the price drops, and I am not "poor"

I used to spend $60-$70 on N64 games all the time. Aren't people old enough to remember how expensive those were? Sh*t, adjusted for inflation it's even higher.

And you are the reason game developers would rather go to a games as a service model and rape you 10x worse.

By any standard $70 is not to much for a quality product. Let's say you buy a game for $70 that provides 30 plus hours of entertainment? Where else do you get that in any form ? I remember paying $80 for SNEs games because that's how much some use to be.

You can take you and loved one to the movie and easily spend $30 for two hours.

If you enjoy your hobby you should support those who you feel contribute to it. It's the only way you'll continue to get the products you enjoy.

That's true. Having any sort of money means immediately stop any form of critical thinking.

If it's not essential as well, you shouldn't really seek any form of value.

Indeed, when really don't think about it, consumers are pretty darny poo entitled for thinking the publishers should serve them.

I was wrong to say this, thank you my freind.

I happily paid $60 in 2013 for this game and i enjoyed it ... i didn't for the remaster on PS4 even though i have PSN so maybe that counts a bit... still, no way i would pay even more now for yet another port.

Times are tough... the publishers really should be charging $75 or $80 so that their executives can continue flying on their private jets.

Not really.

What the consumer pays at large has an effect on what your price will be. It also dictates what practices will normalised. Alongside what genres will become popular etc...

Also effects the basic design philosophy of games. Something like Dragon Age: Origins > Dragon Age 2 being an example.

In the case of the PC in the early 2000 it directly had a detrimental effect on the quality of their titles as it was console being ported to PC as opposed to PC being ported to console, running on lesser hardware, and because of lower PC sales, less effort.

Pretty much everyone here have complained about mobile games being scams.

Well, there you go.

yet sony exclusive are 20 bucks 4 months later.

fan of nin calling sony greedy.

yet nin greedy shut down sony to join them years ago.

instead the ps1 was made. ps1 was suppose to be the new nin.

i will be paying 10 bucks just like every ps4 to ps5 upgrade game I have.

70 bucks is not bad if you never owned the game. plus pc games get new graphical game and not a 2013 graphic game.

That's two dates at the movies or two hours at a bar.

I'm not saying it's just inflation. I'm saying that by comparison 70 bucks isn't anything relatively new, it could even be less at current prices. And I would LOVE to have seen $25 dollar games in the US back in the 90s. Wasn't a thing where I grew up. To me an increase to 70 dollars isn't a 'be-all end-all' move. Greedy? Sure, perhaps.

If you want to see true greed look at micro transaction games or pay to play services. That is where I'd rather focus my ire. Boycott the Activisions, EAs, and Bethesda's of the world.

That stated, I'm not paying for this. I'll play it when it hits PS+.

Not really a problem for me personally man. Pretty much given up on most AAA games.

Last one bought was Resident Evil: Village (£49.99) and the PC version was broken, for literally months. It wasn't like a problem on the user-end, it was the DRM they used, which caused increasingly decreased performance.

Gaming critics didn't bring it up. It was the users on forums and what not.

So either, they didn't give a shit to test it, or they knew about it, and sold it anyway.

That's pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back, Stick to indie games in the £14 -£20 range.

Not really just, the price and the state. Games like Resident Evil 8 are more interested in production value and cinematic presentation than gameplay. The first 15-20 minutes, basically doing nothing but holding down the W key. Not paying £49.99 for that shit, let alone £64.99.

But this ramble is more subjective. Plenty of people love RE8.

Yep, and they cost a fraction of what they do now to make.

A big budget game back then was around 3 million now its like 200 million .

Except it is inflation. Look up the budget of big games from the SNES and N64 era. 2 to 5 million. Now games can cost 150 to 200 million. It doesn't mean it will be a good game but when you have games that look on par with high end movies that cost $$$$.

Or your just not poor and you actually enjoy a hobby.

And using those critical thinking skills how far does $70 get you in any form of entertainment?

That's two dates at the movies or two hours at a bar.

$70 for a new game that you will play anywhere from 10 to 50 hours?? Oh noos.

You made a dumb comment my freind.

Be gracious, take the L.

You literally have no clue what your talking about. From the cost of game development to what prices of games use to be you are either clueless or just a Troll.

You have been taking L's since you started posting.

And amazingly you won't answer the question. How far does $70 take you in entertainment?

Now getting angry at me and making bad faith arguments.

Very sad.

Subs are more expensive, eventually they will pass the price the games cost to begin with.

Yep, and most these people are in complete denial.

Maybe a Sony console isn't for people that can only afford a $250 "next-gen" console and Game Pass scraps

Sure.

For £70 can buy about 4-5 JAV vids. Or 2 and a fleshlight.

Alternatively can buy a 90g aero for 89p. So, that's something like, 74 chocolate bars? So yea, get alot out of that, about 1-2 weeks worth.

Guaranteed to be better than whatever shit EA, Ubisoft or Activision is farting out.

You lost me on your first sentence: "they just did last of us remastered on PS4"

The Last of Us Remastered came out nearly 8 years ago. I've lived in three different states since the PS4 version came out. That does not qualify as "just did."

The unwritten wait period for a remake is typically 10 years, so Naughty Dog is coming in a little early with this one per the norms of the industry, but at the end of the day, if you want the game, buy it. If you don't think it's worth $70, then don't buy it.

If $70 is such an astronomical amount of money that you have to question people's intelligence for spending $70 on something you don't like or understand, that's a sign that you shouldn't really be spending $70 on anything and should open a savings account.

I'd say anybody that pays $70 and is buying this a third time isn't and idiot, just more of a sucker.

If you don't like the game don't buy it obviously but If it's something you really look forwad to and actually enjoyed it that extra $10 is the deal breaker? Sorry I don't get it.
