Now if only Sony got the rocks out of they're heads and finally decided to come out with a PSP that enables homebrew applications and emulators and the like, now that would be very freakin' awesome!

I think this is Konami's way of saying thanks. Im so glad they included the remake and original but why didnt they include XX (X here in the us; yeah, thats right i own the snes version, i feel special) and i am very glad they threw in SOTN. This will be the greatest travel game ever.falconclan
They didn't include the SNES version, because that version of it was just absolutely terrible, and wasn't a direct and complete port of the Japanese game, according to the Castlevania Dungeon!

Hello to all Castlevania fans!!

My name is Tao, and I have been a fan of the sieries ever since I tried my luck at Castlevania II for the NES, but unfortunately not getting anywhere with it until beating it years later thanks to the game walkthrough.

My favorite games in the series are Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge for the Game Boy platforms, the original for the NES, Symphony of the Night for Playstation, and Lament of Innocence for Playstation 2.

Mine are always going to Dracula and Death also, with the exception of Lament of Innocence, where it was Walter Bernhard, then Death. Succubus from Symphony of the Night, and Lament of Innocence, Medusa, those first 2 bosses in SOTN, and the Soleiyu Demon from Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge are my favorties!

[QUOTE="RockmanSRD"]

I was pretty amazed to hear about this.  It seems all of those who have been desperately wanting to play Rondo of Blood will finally get to (in the form of a remake, at least).  I thought it would be interesting to see a CV game end up like this, side scrolling but in 3-D.  For a long time, I even imagined what a 3-D remake of Symphony would be like.  Now, if only a CV game would come out that wouldn't make me buy a handheld in order to play it, I'd be content. :lol:

It seems this will be another reason to get a PSP.

Oh, I thought I was the only one who doesn't have a PSP. I really want one now!!

I want a PSP now as well, after finding out that a remake of Rondo of Blood is going to be coming out for it!! If there was only a CV game that wouldn't have me buy another handheld, and come out for the consoles, then I'll be content :)

This is incredible news. After Konami mysteriously asked that the ISO of only Rondo not be distributed, I expected to get a port of Rondo eventually. This is much more than I ever dreamed of. Not sure how much I like the new Richter. Kinda looks Soma-ish. The anime style of the original Rondo was pretty good. I do like the new Maria. Seeing her as a younger version of the Symphony Maria is much more believable than the original anime design. Complaints aside, this is shaping up to be 9 kinds of awesome. A remake of Rondo, Rondo itself, & the Saturn version of Symphony with a new translation all on one disc. My only regret is that it's on the PSP so I won't be able to enjoy all of the beauty on a larger screen.venus577
I agree with you 100% Even though the original Japanese version of Rondo of Blood and the Sega Saturn version of Symphony of the Night are going to be availible on there as unlockables, there's definitely no doubt that this game is going to get a 9, because of the fact that Richter kinda looks Soma-ish, and maybe some other flaws, but I still have very high hopes for this hopefully very awesome port of Rondo of Blood :D

There really hasn't been much of anything going on in the world of Castlevania since Portrait of Ruin came out for the DS, and it's always like this every now and again, so it's just a phase that the union goes through every now and again! I still can't believe that Symphony of the Night is going to be on Xbox Live Aracde, that's going to be absolutely very awesome!!

Leon Belmont.Because he is the father of all belmonts and the first one he has some wicked moves not to mention the vampire killer whip which is cool he's the best among the rest of all castlevania players except {Richter and Alucard}maybefoxhound1013
Leon Belmont's my favorite also, next to Simon and Richter Belmont, because he's the one who helped create the legendary Vampire Killer whip, because his wife to be, Sarah Tarantoul, who was bitten by Walter Bernhard!!

Well it was certainly no Harmony of Dissonance or Symphony of the Night. Those were rediculously easy. But I can't say that I'm a good judge of difficulty. I had been stuck on Dracula for a day or so when a friend of mine picked up my DS. He beat Dracula on the first try yet I still struggled with him for a bit.venus577
I'm still stuck on the early parts of Harmony of Dissonance, but I've beaten the 'Boss Rush Mode' with 8-bit Simon Belmont though.
