Wow Jets. All along you kept saying "we dont have the cap room to sign Braylon blah blah blah." He signed for $3.5 mil!!!!! You're seriously going to say that we didnt have $3.5 mil in cap space? We have lost 3 key wideouts this offseason. Our offense is looking like trash right now. No Brad Smith, no cotchery, no braylon. Great job tannenbaum.TonyDanzaFan
*scratches head*The JETS will have HOLMES . They didnt do all to great in the redzone last year so adding Burress should help them in that area. The JETS also drafted Jeremy Kerley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T96UG9xfmS8

Brad Smith was cool but any JETS fan would tell you the 2yrd up the middle Wildcat got old and was very annoying. He was mainly used for the wildcat than anything else on offence so why the noise? Not a big lost there. The Wildcat would ruin the flow of the offence too.

Cotchery, yeah it sucks that they got rid of him but the FO knows more than any of us. Maybe his injury is more serious than what hes letting on.

The fact that the JETS had money to sign Edwards yet didnt sign him should send an alarm to all teams this guy has done something stupid or is about to get into trouble so dont sign him. The 49ers took the risk but only went with a 1yr deal.

Lastly, stop panicking and never question the master that is Mike Tannenbaum :P . Like I said before, the FO knows more than we do and next years FA WR list is golden. I have a feeling hes gearing up to grab Larry Fitzgerald OR hes gearing up to bring in one more big FA seeing how little these big signings took up the cap for the year.

As it stands right, the JETS sill remain a Defensive team and have improved there as well. The offence will be fine in Mark Sanchez breakout year (3rdyr).

I don't want Mason at the expense of releasing Cotchery.

Plaxico could turn out to be the steal of the free agent period. He also gives Sanchez a TALL target in the Red zone for the "Jump Ball". B.Edwards wore out his welcome and is a high risk with his felonies. And the buzz is he was a diva and his teammates didn't like him. He also wants too much $$$. I've moved on from Edwards. They will be fine without him. Derrick Mason would be a nice fit for some WR depth. They can use whatever $$$ they have left to fine tune many position needs rather than on one player. And like every team.... they will be counting on some young guys to step up and get the job done. There's just not enough money to keep everyone.

All I keep hearing is how Plaxico is tall and a red zone target blah blah blah. Braylon is almost as tall as him. Braylon is 6'3" which is taller than most receivers. Plus Braylon and Sanchez have undeniable chemistry.

hes tall but wasnt a redzone threat last year. Burress has shown in the past how he can be very effective in the redzone and should help out more in that area.

Jets were not wise to move on. I would much prefer Braylon over Plax. Braylon is younger and more reliable. And Mark Sanchez really likes braylon. I'm upset that he is gone, but there's nothing we can do. Simply dont have the cap space. TonyDanzaFan
it sucks but the JETS do have the cap space to sign him. All the big signings like Harris, Holmes, and Cromartie only take up 7mil of this years cap which probably means the front office is planning something big. But anyway, Edwards will most likely not get anything more than a 1yr deal. But why pay a man who could be a second away from jail plus a suspension?

[QUOTE="ohjtbehaaave"]Man... B.Edwards just NEVER learns!!! Stop breaking the law stupid!!! I think this type stuff is the main reason the Jets moved on from him. They need less distractions this season... and another incident could jeopardize his season. Not worth the risk.SF_KiLLaMaN
He didn't break the law this time.....

he might be going to jail. Hes already on probation. This screw up wont end well for him. Also, apparently in a new article, he was involved in the fight. A person got stabbed, two arrested and police might arrest a third (Edwards?).

Braylon Edwards has another brush with the law

Free-agent receiver Braylon Edwards, not far removed from pleading guilty to DUI and having his probation in Cleveland for an assault charge extended, nearly got himself into another jam in Michigan early Monday. According to FOX 2 in Detroit, two people in Edwards' entourage were arrested after allegedly assaulting employees at a Birmingham bar. Per the report, Edwards' friends got into an argument with the employees. The dispute made its way into the kitchen, and one employee was "sliced with a knife." The wound required 14 stitches to close.

Another employee allegedly was attacked with a fork. (Alas, the Placesetting Trifecta was not completed, possibly because Braylon dropped the spoon.) Edwards reportedly posted the following on Twitter at about the same time: "Damn. Get ya knuckles ready" and "Don't fight if. You don't know how." Curiously, Edwards recently posted the following message: "Yo…Lost my phone last night someone sent tweets. Deleted them and changed my password. Sorry for the mishap hopefully never happens again!" (We'd like to think that, if someone found Edwards' phone and realized they had access to his Twitter page, they would have been a lot more creative than "Damn. Get ya knuckles ready" and "Don't fight if. You don't know how.") Edwards wasn't arrested and he faces no charges.

However, the fact that he was present when the incident went down possibly could become an issue regarding his probation in Cleveland. It also could take any remaining air out of the market for Edwards' services.

Jets resign Cromartie to a 4 year, $32 million deal. It would have been pretty bad if we didn't resign him. Good move. Now if we can somehow resign Edwards...

jiggaloj
Thank goodness, and it was for a reasonable price (8mill a yr) :D but yeah, Edwards isnt coming back. Hes asking for too much and we already signed a number #17 tall WR. It looks like the JETS are setting themselves up to obtain a more decent WR come next FA. Larry Fitzgerald being one of them.

Looks like the JETS will lose to the crazy Al Davis (Raiders) for Cromartie :( I dont blame him if he goes for the money instead of a chance at winning a ring. He does have a lot of kids to feed :? ... but man, it would suck for him to go right now. It sucks to admit it but It does look like that agent for Aso and Cromartie played the Jets hard.

[QUOTE="GoldenElementXL"]Ted Ginn Jr beating Revis. And he makes him look silly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dRz9WCgXRU Look the guy is very very good. But he had 1 great season and tried to get paid. He will never reproduce that 2009 season.

You are right , he wont, because the 2009 SEASON was his year to prove who he was. 2009 was the year he broke out and told the league, dont throw at me. 2010, they didnt throw at him like in 2009. So you are right, he wont reproduce that 09 season again. That is one of the reason why I wanted Aso to come here because teams will have no choice but to throw at Revis or Aso. But since they didnt join together, they both ill be ignored and wont put up high numbers.

[QUOTE="GoldenElementXL"][QUOTE="Fuhgeddabouditt"][QUOTE="GoldenElementXL"]Revis is overrated. My boy Moss who is "washed up" did this to him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM10IfH8wkQ

YAY, you showed a play where Revis pulled his hammy. Revis is teh OVerratedzzz. That is what he gets for not going to training camp and then having to run about in Week 2.

He pulled his hammy in the end zone bud. You can even see when it happens. The commentators talk about it near the end of the clip. That has nothing to do with getting burned.

teh hell. He pulled his hammy while running to keep up with Moss. He was not 100% in the beginning of last year because he held out of training camp like an idiot.
