I don't care much about their more gimmicky products but Blackwidow is an excellent KB and Deathadder is a great mouse.

As Mr Carmack said, games are designed around their controls. The inefficiencies you mention are only a problem because games today are designed around buttons and analogs. ThePlothole
Indeed they're designed around controllers, that's why you get hermits complaining about dumbed downed controls....
Unless it is done intuitively. Like say having you point at an object in-game to tell an NPC to us it. Everyone knows how to point.ThePlothole
And if interactivity is a matter of pointing at things, it's either simpied compared to what we get now or slowed down badly due to extensive use of sub menues.
[QUOTE="R3FURBISHED"]LOL. Yeah because THAT will be easier........:?
Guess I might just have to bend over and take it and buy the PC version.

I have plenty of free space on my 360S and don't mind having three discs -- weighing the pros and cons it might be easier to just play this one on my PC (wow, never thought I'd be saying that!)

Indeed it will, it'll also be the definitive version running at twice the resolution and at true 60 fps compared to the "sort of" 60 fps that about 4 console games run at.
Edit: And you might want to install an OS on that Alienware of yours, before you preload it with 500 gigs of virus infested porn.
[QUOTE="McStrongfast"]Films would look a lot nicer at 60 frames. Or well, it would be more of a stylistic choice than with games, where a higher framerate is always preferable.[QUOTE="kraken2109"]
Framerate makes next to no difference in a cutscene since you're not controlling it.
Films are 24fps, do you complain about them being a low framerate?

Glitchspot won't allow me to post links any longer, so you'll have to copypaste that one.
correct me if i am wrong, don't they make movies at 24fps because that makes the action on screen appear as close to real life as possible. if you sped the frame rate up to video game levels, what would happen?I believe it was a way to cut costs on film reels in the days of very old, that happens to affect how films are made in the present.
If any of these rumors prove true, this is a major win for traditional gaming. Nintendo is learning the hard way that gimmicks only get you so far.

It's also a huge slap in the face of early adopters.
Kinect will improve in many ways... higher res wider angle cameras, lower response times, greater movement recognition plus increased character recognition.
CwlHeddwyn
And it'll still be inferior to current controllers unless you introduce steroids that make body movent faster and more responsive than finger management.
Even then, I'd rather use a controller than flail or wiggle my way to victory :?
Not to mention that Kinect requires you to remember every single input by heart unless you want to revert to gui bloeatedness by 20 years. It simply does'nt have a future in games that are'nt simplied to accomodate for the limitations of the device. Increasing res and responsiveness won't resolve that issue.
Easy to say, hard to prove. Gestures will never be more convenient than button presses in terms of respnsiveness.
That's not to say that Carmack is wrong, he did state that motion controls could do nothng for RAGE.
