That's your opinion, but mine and many states disagree, which is why they're (people under 21 in military) granted special permits via a tax form.
All soldiers have access to a gun at all times - there's usually a mossberg 500/590 in every vehicle in Afghanistan.
There's no difference between a 18 year old kid who did 3 weeks of gun safety course in BCT VS some redneck 18 year old who has been shooting guns his entire life in smalltown USA.
They both have the training, they both know basic gun safety, they both are trusted by the federal and state government to possess/use a gun. I find it comical someone can protect the 2nd amendment, but can't participate fully.
It's like the blacks in the 1700s they fought for rights they didn't/weren't going to receive.
