Always a joy to see Shinkawa's artwork somewhere. Always enjoyed the work he and Ayami Kojima did back at Konami.

@Myron117: Of course, it was more fun to roll with inedible though.

@Richardthe3rd: Sega's impeding on PC gamers' desire to play the game already.

Just say it already, geez. You've kept people waiting long enough yet again.

@davillain-: Well of course it's inedible. It's a digital download, not a meal. Though I guess in terms of action games it would be considered a full course meal...

@corsaro: Not his choice. Pretty sure they got rid of him, he didn't walk out. Since the IP is owned by Konami first, it's at their mercy whether he would've had the IP or not.

More often than not the rights to major IPs don't tend to stay with the actual creators but the companies themselves I believe. This is why you often see spiritual successors and such.

@corsaro: Konami owns the IP so not happening in terms of Kojima doing it unless they surrender the IP or for whatever reason contract him to work on it (which is doubtful based on their falling out).

@Archangel3371: Well for one Final Fantasy VII and the whole Squaresoft golden age on PS1 would've been under the banner of the duo. The cartridge format was one of the big turn offs for the company during development of FF7, which obviously wasn't going to fit on a single cartridge the way things were. Also Secret of Mana would've been even better if the notes about all sorts of content being cut hold any truth.

I think another interesting question would be if they actually pushed forward with this thing, how long would the partnership have lasted anyway? They still could've parted ways after this system and did their own console brand anyway. Unless for some reason a merger were to occur then either side could've walked away at some point further down the road.

@darthrevenx: They were involved, or at least acting as a publisher. There were some Sega CD games published by Sony I believe.
