Hi everyone,

I've only had a PS3 for about a week or so, and most of that week has been spent sending emails back and forth to ****** - my router manufacturer, as I keep getting the same disconnect error after 5 minutes max on PSN. I have tried putting my PS3 into the DMZ, that doesn't seem to have worked, I then tried to open the correct ports for PSN, that hasn't worked. ****** are out of suggestions, they want me to contact Sony, but I know Sony will probably just fire me back to ******. Has any one else had this problem? It's especially weird because I'm able to connect temporarily, so I can't see what the problem could be.

Just to give a few more details:

My router: ****** N+ Wireless Router with the latest firmware

My ISP: AOL UK

My download speed: 2MB

Other computers on the network: 1 x Windows 7, 1 x Windows Vista, 1 x Windows XP, 1 x Xbox 360, 1 x Mac OS Leopard

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Hi guys, on the brink of buying a PS3 and finally getting rid of my Wii, and I'm wondering what games I should get with it that are exclusive to enjoy online.

I ask for exclusives because I've already got a 360, with a lot of the popular multi-platform multiplayer titles - like CoD:MW2 for instance.

The games have to be cheap, I'm looking at getting them pre-owned you see. And ideally, it would be useful if their online communities are still active.

So far I was thinking:

Littlebigplanet

Killzone 2

Motorstorm?

Any guidance is much appreciated!

If you could get a degree in gaming, what would be the games that you would have to play and understand to complete the course and why?

If you ask me, they'd have to battle through:

Super Mario 64- arguably the first game to break into the third dimension
Half Life 1 or 2- showing how well a story can be told in an FPS
Okami- fuel for the "are games art" debate
Nintendogs- the game that kicked off the casual gaming trend (this was released before the Wii, so no Wii Sports)
Goldeneye- one of the best FPSes of all time (though I think Perfect Dark on the N64 was a better game)
Final Fantasy VII- a game that rabid fans will dress up and buy merchandise from until the end of time

I was going to post this in the Fallout 3/Borderlands forums but I figured they'd hate the comparison...

I've had Fallout 3 ever since it came out, but so far it hasn't grabbed my attention in the same way that Oblivion did, now that Borderlands has come out I'm wondering whether it's time to cut Fallout loose and move on?

To help you make the decision, with Fallout the main problem I had with it was its difficulty, and the fact that pretty much every time I had to travel somewhere I'd have to go through the subway system time and time again.

The only reason I draw the comparison between Borderlands and Fallout is that they are both set in a "post-apocalyptic wasteland" and are blends of FPS and RPG (though admittedly Fallout sticks more to the FPS side).

The best Tony Hawk game was Pro Skater 3 for me.

Hi everyone,

I've just bought a new router after having my connection with the old router drop out every 2 minutes, all the computers in the house connect to the router just fine, except the Xbox. It says that my MTU isn't high enough, and that it needs to be over 1364 (I think), when mine is in the region of 1432, and the router strongly advises against changing that, what should I do?

If it helps, I'm in the UK, on AOL and get 2MB.

Get Fallout 3, it can take a bit of time to get fully into it, but when you do you'll find an immersive world with loads to do, and even if you do finish everything there are 4 packages of DLC to keep things interesting for you.

Okay , im in the mood for a sandbox game and I was pondering on which of these two to get ? The original Saints Row or Bully Scholarship edition ... Anyone play these games ? Which one would you go for ??

celebate

I've played both and I had to get rid of Bully within the first week of owning it, I just couldn't get into it. For me it felt overly childish, even though in some ways that was kind of the idea. Given this, I'd recommend Saint's Row, it's a lot of fun and it features one of my favourite sandbox game modes of all time - rampage mode. That's a properly realised side mission that revolves around what everyone does when they get bored in a sandbox game with guns... Blowing up cars, killing innocent people etc.

Saint's Row has a bigger sandbox, a more engaging storyline (even if the rival gangs are complete stereotypes), much better graphics (if that affects your decision) and it's more fun overall.

Consider buying Saint's Row 2, sure it'll be more expensive, but with it being a sequel it'll be more refined than the original.

Any good Multiplayer/Sports Games for less than 30?

(Already have Orange Box, Cod 4, gtaiv, vegas 2 and dont want Cod5/GoW2)

gleb2006

I'd recommend NBA Street Homecourt (a lot of fun, try the demo on the marketplace to get an idea), any of the Tiger Woods games (I hate the single player in these games but I really like playing them with my friends) and Beijing 2008 for sports multiplayer games. I'll recommend Beijing with a warning though, you have to like button-mashing or stick-waggling in the vein of the Track And Field series, and you'll have to be buying it for the multiplayer solely, the single player in Beijing is ridiculously hard.
