Happy New Year to you all!

I'm not sure if this is an OK thing to do, all of my reviewing in the past was written stuff, and I'm just trying out some video editing and stuff - I'd love to know what the distinguished GameSpot community thinks...be gentle.

(I know this shouldn't technically be in off-topic but I couldn't find a non-platform specific forum to put this in...)

Hey Gamespotters,

I've been reading a lot about the new iPad, as I'm sure you have been too, and I've been wondering what it is that makes Jobs' keynote speeches so effective. I used to do a lot of linguistic analysis as part of my English Language and Literature A-Level, but I'm a little rusty, and Jobs' rhetoric seems much more subtle than anything I've analysed before - do any of you have any ideas?

Remember, this isn't about Apple's hardware or Apple as a brand, per se - but Steve Jobs' constructed speech and onstage presence alone.

Just to give some extra information, my NAT status has always been open, and when it disconnects, I can reconnect immediately after.

I know this is a question that's been asked a thousand times before, but there's a difference this time. I've been happily Xbox Live-ing with this router for months now, I had some trouble setting it up in the first place, but sorted that eventually. Now, for some reason, it disconnects every now and again for no reason. This is something it's never done before, none of my router settings have been changed, I haven't changed ISP or package with my ISP, so what could be up? It's only started happening in the past week or so?

I have, but thanks for the suggestion - it doesn't really bother me that my PS3 can't connect to PSN, as I use my Xbox for my online gaming fix. It's just weird that I can't seem to transfer PSOne games downloaded onto my PSP originally, onto my PS3.

Hi guys,

I've said before on these forums that my router is giving me hell connecting my PS3 to PSN, for some reason though, my PSP has no trouble connecting, so I can happily download PSOne games onto my PSP.

How can I get these PSOne games stored on my PSP, onto my 160GB fat PS3?

Yes I've tried the USB cable - that seems to only let me transfer pictures, videos, music etc.

I just bought miner dig deep and I was just curious, is there any other games similar to this? What are the best indie tower defense games? Are there any unusual but fun indie games out there?

Does anyone know?

DeadApeBladder

It depends which format you mean, there are titles like Plants vs. Zombies from Popcap for PC, iPhone and probably DS or PSP. Then there's more traditional tower defense titles like Final Fantasy Crystal Defenders or Defense Grid on XBLA, not forgetting South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play as well.

i just posted a topic but i was told to come here so i was wondering, dantes inferno, mass effect 2 or darksiders. i will eventually buy them all but i wanna pick one up tomorow or saturday. im cutting down on gamepurchases coz otherwise ill be broke all year.

I'd go with Mass Effect 2, I've spent 19 hours on that game so far and I'm no way near done with it yet. Dante's Inferno and Darksiders looked promising to me, but from the reviews I've read and from the bits I've played, I think it's safer to stick with the games they're emulating, which in terms of imminent releases boils down to Bayonetta or God of War 3.
