In some ways, I agree with this. If they do right by us, sure, reward them. I'd love an Xbox One personally, I like to keep all my bases covered for gaming.

But until I see a written or verbal agreement that this DRM stuff is gone for good, it's a no buy. I don't trust microsoft enough to think they wouldn't put DRM back in after everyone rushes back, buys the console, and they get their money.

Good job ignoring "Wii U, or a PC" as well. You're a blatant fanboy, this much is clear.

@Tiwill44 @Jwash16 Xbox still won't work without the kinect being plugged in. So if that breaks, no more games until you purchase a replacement.

Kinect should be an optional add-on, not a required piece of hardware (that only some games utilize anyway.)

Everyone, this may sound harsh, but even if they drop ALL DRM, consider not buying the Xbox One. They haven't learned their lesson, not yet. Hell, they may re-implement DRM after everyone buys the console. Don't fall for this.

Do not buy this console, the only thing these corporate suits understand is money. Do not forget the always on and mandatory Kinect hardware.

They need to suffer this gen so that they NEVER make this mistake again. They need to be punished for EVER thinking this sort of thing was okay to begin with.

Please, pick up a PS4, Wii U, or a PC this gen if you can afford them.

If this is true, I'm actually ashamed of the people who bought it. If they really were gamers, they'd have sense enough not to buy this product and ensure something like this never happens again.

Brand loyalty in itself is a massive joke. Why would anyone swear allegiance to a company? Trusting them is one thing... but blatant fanboyism?

This generation, Microsoft is deserving of neither.

Oh God I know how that feels. I remember when I heard about Megaman Legends 3 (before the Capcom thing happened) it was only going to come to the 3DS.

Same feeling when the sequel to Luigi's Mansion only hit the 3DS (to my knowledge.) Fan favorites such as these should not be limited to handhelds. They should be ported.

I mean I love handhelds, they have great games sometimes. But something someone could play for hours on end does not belong on them exclusively. Talk about neck cramps.

Or hey, compromise! Remember that N64 controller add-on that came with Pokemon Stadium? It let you put a Gameboy color Pokemon game into the adapter and play it through the n64 on the TV. Blew my mind as a kid!

Why not do something like that now? Some sort of adapater that would let you hook your 3DS up to a Wii / Wii U so you could play these games on a larger screen (and avoid a craned neck in the process!)

Nintendo, you are walking on very thin ice with this one. You blame yourself, but when you say something like:

"The consumers today still cannot understand what's so good and unique about the Wii U."

Regardless of your intentions you are indirectly blaming your customers. Capcom did that, look what happened to them, how many people they pissed off?

So here is my suggestion. Next time you make a console, design it to play Next gen games. Your console is BARELY on par with the 360 and PS3 of last gen. Who in their right mind would choose the Wii U for next gen titles when your console can't run anything but your 1st party rehashes?

The Wii was unique, amazing even, but the Wii U brings absolutely nothing new to the table besides the tablet controller. I know several people who thought the Wii U was just an add on for the Wii, that's how similar they really are.

No offense intended, but it feels like you didn't even really try to innovate this generation. Please learn a lesson from this. Expand, grow, improve your next console.

... But do not uproot yourself completely and target a completely different audience as the X-box One did. This is meant to be constructive criticism. I wish you luck with your next console.

We already have Battlefield: Star Wars Edition.

It's called the First Strike Mod for Battlefield 2142.

Maybe it's just me, but I see two things happening. This will be a Star Wars re-skin of Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 4 will likely have zero mod support to boot. I really do hope neither of those are the case though.

@lilcurt1978 @DarthAsheron Yes, and this console's policies are no better. Where is the line drawn? Do we just sit down, keep our mouths shut, and let them continue like this? or do we tell them NO?

And if they refuse to listen, we keep saying no, and then we vote with our wallets and refuse to support them until they change their ways.

@lilcurt1978 Or maybe we're all people who care about the future of gaming and this console is getting dangerously close to doing irreparable damage. If this console succeeds in it's current condition, all of the bad things about it will become acceptable to all of these publishers and developers.

Screw over the consumer for profits.
