Oh look, all of the things that should have been in the first game. No EA, you're not going to get $60+ from me for your glorified expansion pack.

Why are people still buying EA games to begin with? Have people forgotten just how many companies this corporate publisher has bought out and killed because of their unrealistic expectations? How many franchises are dead and buried as a result of their meddling in the direction of the product (alienating fans to try to appeal to mass audiences.)

Look at Bioware now. They were once a highly respected name in the world of RPGs, hell they were arguably one of the pinnacles. Ever since EA got their claws into them the quality of their games has gone way downhill. Unfinished games, lazy animations, terrible writing compared to previous games, and the majority of the original staff (including the company's founders) are no longer there.

It is a name now, a shell of its former self. Look at the debacle that was Mass Effect 3 and what seems to be creeping into Andromeda. Look at the de-evolution of the Dragon Age series and the bastardization of once respected franchises such as Battlefront and Battlefield.

The more people buy these games, the more EA realizes they can get away with shipping broken, unfinished products of subpar quality for full price. The people who are stupid enough to "pre-order" these games as though in a world of digital distribution there is some sort of scarcity will rabidly defend everything about these games and acknowledge none of the flaws which must be confronted to create a better product.

I just don't understand it, I really don't. There is absolutely no reason to be spending such copious amounts of cash on such flawed and broken games from a company who doesn't give two ****s about anyone but their investors. $60-70 is groceries for two weeks, a bill paid, etc. I don't know how anyone can justify forking over that much money for something not even released yet and then defend it tooth and nail when problems crop up.

@coaltango Steam is objectively as bad as origin in the sense that they were both drm disguised as digital distribution platforms.

The difference is that because steam acknowledges they are only selling you a license to play the games (you don't own anything you buy from them, it says this in their EULA) they can sell at heavily discounted prices and have so many 50%+ off sales.

Jess seems to forget that on top of that "10 seconds" needed to log in, the game will more than likely kick you off if your connection to origin somehow goes out. This is typical of EA games requiring you to sign in to origin now.

In what other interactive movie can you combo so hard all over a toilet seat that your nose bleeds and your eyes roll back?

A man that wants to be a woman is still a man in my opinion, but that has nothing to do with video games.

@Ailurusf
I think he takes issue with (for example) the GTA V review. I won't comment on the score itself, a 9 is fine and perfect for the game (because GTA V is not perfect.) But Carolyn added to the cons section that the game is misogynistic. Personal social/political views have NO place in a professional view that is meant to tell us if a game is good and/or worth our time and money.

Loads slower, looks like something designed for tablets. Would like an option to use the old format. Much easier to navigate for a PC.

@TrueGB @DarthAsheron That's definitely the case. However, that bit of extra cash short term is going to bite them in the ass long term.

They're alienating customers on the PS4 and WiiU with this move and driving even more of their fans away.

Capcom. You could have made millions if Dead Rising 3 was multiplatform.

One bad decision after another... It's no wonder you barely have 150 million in the bank.

What's next? You gonna blame your fans for not showing enough interest? For not supporting you enough? One more Legends 3 fiasco will be enough to sink this company. I hope they get their head on straight.
