I didn't vote, but that's because there wasn't an option for my case.

I first tried out MGS 2 on the Xbox, but quit a few hours after the game switched to being focused on Raiden. (I remembered people griping about MGS 2 when I bought it, but didn't recall it was because of the character switch until I got to that part.)

Figuring I must not have liked the game largely because of Raiden, I went ahead and picked up MGS:TS for the Gamecube. Unlike with 2, I managed to make it through the end of the game but not without eyestrain from all of the eyerolling I was doing at the silly cutscenes and other exposition.

My tastes are just too focused on interaction and immersiveness as a player to enjoy a game that involves so much kicking back and watching the story unfold in cutscenes. If I wanted to watch something, I'd put in a DVD. Same goes for more recent FF games.

Killzone 2. Easily.

Now, if they told me to buy MGS4 only or else they'd shoot, I'd pull the trigger myself. :p

Nope. Not obligated in any way, shape, or form. I'll buy it because I enjoyed the first two and I'm looking forward to seeing the conclusion.

Yeah, I was disappointed with AC4,

I'd say Resistance for FPS, Sigma for Action, Motorstorm for racing, Oblivion for RPG, the Bigs for arcade sports, Calling all Cars for Mulitplayer madness

Sorry for the double post, but I have to agree with the recommendation for Oblivion, if the OP is into RPGs at all. It's awesome. I've clocked in close to 100 hours on the 360 version, and will be playing more with the recently released expansion (which I believe comes bundled in the PS3 version). The game looks even better on the PS3 from the screenshots.

My favorite part so far was completing the assassin and thief guild quests. It was like playing a huge open ended version of Thief.

The first game I bought for the PS3 was Resistance: Fall of Man. It's a lot of fun so far. It reminds me of a cross between some of the better WW2 shooters and Half-Life 2. Resistance is easily my favorite shooter in the last couple of years from what I've played so far. Other than that I've been playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma, which is fine, but I'm not sure if it's worth it if you have one of the other releases on the Xbox already.

I have Rainbow Six Vegas on the 360. It's fun, though I'm not too sure about it's replay value single-playerwise. It's better than either of the Rainbow Six 3 games I played on the Xbox, though they improved the game by upping the action quotient rather than making it more tactical again like I would have preferred. I'm not sure about differences between the PS3 and 360 versions. I'd say it's worth at least checking out.

Horizontal for me. Mainly for space reasons, but I also don't want to get discs scratched up.

Both are probably going to be more of the same, but I'll take Halo 3's more of the same. I loved the first Call of Duty, but I've grown a little more bored with each one. My fear for CoD4 is that it will be more of the same safe, whitewashed combat with modern equipment. The frenetic action you get into occasionally in the WW2games is awesome, but I always wished they could capture that horrific part of combat the way Saving Private Ryan did.

The level chosen for CoD4 definitely could have been better. It looked like an aggravating, overly handholding tutorial mission, and that squawk they used every time the other guy talked was annoying.

Meh. I don't care enough about G4 to hate them. Though, I still have a lingering distaste for them with what happend to Tech TV. :p I don't watch the channel much anymore. Most of their programming is stuff that just sends me flipping through the channels, as most of their content did when it was originally broadcast on other channels. X-Play has gone downhill so much, I don't even bother to watch it anymore, and it was about the last thing I could stand to sit through on there. Well, aside from Trek reruns, but I have TOS on DVD and I can watch it without all that 2.0 mess.

Going to commercial halfway through the Halo 3 trailer was quite idiotic. They went to break in some other bad spots, but overall the hosts didn't get in the way too much. I watched the missed parts here on Gamespot.
