I sure hope they realize what a stupid move this would be. My cousin wanted to borrow my copy of Battlefield 3 so he could try out the multiplayer, but he can't without having to pay $10 for an online pass. It's ridiculous as it is that I can't loan that one game to my cousin. There are many games that I bought after borrowing them from a friend and deciding that they were worth it. And we might even have to register a game to one account to play it - so if my brother buys a game and registers it, they want me to buy my own copy like $60 is chump change? Combine the constant internet connection, and I won't buy the console.

I remember Command & Conquer had two discs so you could loan one to your friend and play the multiplayer against one another. Now it's like EA, Capcom and other publishers are trying to drive people towards piracy with their anti-consumer policies.

I had to install Origin on my computer to play the Mass Effect 3 demo. A DEMO. I could have done without that spyware on my computer.

Hey Mr. O'Leary...ever hear of a yearly franchise called Madden that could also use a year off? Guess who the publisher is? I'll give you a hint: YOU WORK FOR THEM

I'm disappointed this'll be more MW4 than Black Ops 2. I liked the Cold War setting of Black Ops. Why can't we get some variety with first-person shooters? First we were swamped with WWII games, then modern warfare now near-future.

Yeah right, how could we take him seriously? It's not like he works for a developer whose games are published by EA with their anti-consumer policies like online passes and PC spyware.

I remember when Call of Duty 4 came out, everyone here was bashing Halo 3 (the top shooter of the time). At least both games had come out so people had enough basis to make a comparison. Now everyone's bashing Call of Duty and singing Battlefield 3's praises before either game has come out. How long before people are crying for Battlefield to be taken down by something? Has Call of Duty gone downhill since 4. Most say yes (though not all). Has the series stagnated? Definitely. But you know why it's more popular? It's the kind of game people can pick up and play, whether you wanna play on your own or with a team. Bad Company 2's meant to be played online with a team - they didn't add Onslaught until later (and for an extra price, unlike Spec Ops or Nazi Zombies), the singleplayer wasn't very good, and if you didn't have a good team online it wasn't fun unless you enjoy losing. I hope Battlefield 3 delivers a quality singleplayer. It certainly looks impressive...but looks aren't everything. I'll be keeping my eye on both.
