I have a tendency to be a bit of a bad guy in games... thieving, killing, stealing, quick skipping through boring dialogue -- I've run the gambit when it comes to felonious behavior.

Alas, when I awoke and saw the visage of smiling young girls drawing in crayon on the floor in the first Bioshock, I had to restart the whole friggin game. Harvest the little sisters he said... they aren't children, he said. LIES LIES LIES

Just ask Stephen King what he thinks. He is a very liberal progressive dude, but I would gander that he thinks Idris is a poor choice for Roland. Not because he is purple, brown, green. But because he does have the essence of what Roland is... Clint Eastwood is a good example of someone (in his heyday of course) who fits the role. An actor playing a role has to have the gist of what they are trying to portray.

It really doesn't have anything to do with race for me. If there was a black actor that fit Roland I wouldn't think twice about it. Denzel Washington could play Roland I think -- his character in The Book Eli is a lot like Roland... he has the kind of quiet determination that the role needs. But Eldris just does not fit the part. I've read all the Dark Tower books and am a huge fan BTW, and this news is a let down.

@gotrekfabian: Funny how people complain about physics glitches but they are the funniest sh1t in the universe.

Had a glitch where Piper's arms and legs got really long and she was twitching out stuck against my power armor stand. I shot her with a plasma rifle and this cured her unusual size but her feet got stuck at a 45 degree angle inwards and she had trouble moving. Lay off the crack newswoman.

Have the plat trophy and about 130 hours in game, so I can say without a doubt there were some bugs in the game. One game breaking bug in The End of the Line quest in which one target becomes invincible. The settlement bug has not been addressed in which you travel away from your settlement and your citizens can't see 2 random things like defense or water, and happiness plummets and doesn't rise again back to it's previous level. One person in my PSN Fallout 4 community got all her Fallout 4 save games corrupted and had to start over from scratch. Great game my GOTY but Beth needs address some of these issues.

Plus the frame rate indoors is terrible for no apparent reason, worse when particle effects are going off. Seems like Bethesda heard Digital Foundry was complaining about the frame rate around the Corvega factory -- I went there and tried to replicate the drops DFs experienced and could not. The frame rate bugs on PS4 indoors make no sense and is due to poor optimization. Xbox 1 has it worse outdoors and TBH I don't see this getting fixed. Weird too how the Xbox 1 version doesn't have the slowdown much with heavy particle effects. Pete Hines saying on Twitter the game is fine isn't exactly true.

1) It will be on PC, Xbox1, and PS4. Financially it makes zero sense to make it an exclusive. Cd Project is not the kind of studio that would shoot themselves in the foot for a short term gain.

2) The studio could be releasing said "news" to generate interest in said studio. If you don't hear anything from CD, you don't believe it.

3) See 1 & 2

I put over 100 hours in the vanilla game, finished it on DeathMarch, and did not play Gwent once. I might be the lone ranger in this little cowboy club, but card games I always skip. From Caravan to Triple Triad, my decks remain dusty and unused.

@RS13: I agree about the Witcher 1 & 2...was the game with the best graphics for a good while IMO. Instead of controls I was talking more about the game's graphics and physics being based around current (at the time) console systems, which the first DA game was designed from a graphical standpoint around 360 and PS3. But given that the Witcher 3 cost around 60 million dollars to make, without it being released on Xbox1 and PS4 we would have never had the kind of game that we ended up with without the console sales, and CD Project knew and understood this. I remember when the Witcher 2 came out Adam Sessler asked one of the guys there if they there was any plans on releasing the game on consoles and he said no -- luckily they released the 360 version and I got to play it.

I pay pretty close attention to STEAM and new PC releases so I wasn't being a jerk by saying that not many pure PC games get my attention. Was more talking about how without consoles the selection of PC games would be a lot slimmer. Have a good one and thanks for the advice.

@ughz: No it's absolutely correct. You don't even need to look at somewhat unreliable game-sales tracking sites like VGChartz to understand why games like Batman AK were given a studio with a handful of people to do the port. If WB expected PC gamers to throw money at them the port would have been good. Notice the word port. If you want to get technical, every Bethesda game since Morrowind has been ported to the PC, designed around the console experience. It's just a fact. Given the ability to have mind blowing graphics on the PC, why has there only been 1 game designed around this next gen experience (Crysis in 2007)? It's because no big budget game studio is going to spending millions of dollars developing a game that is not going to sell. You might have tens of millions of people on STEAM but it seems many of them aren't supporting the types of games I enjoy most.

Which of these shitty console games are you talking about? Mass Effect? Fallout ? Dragon Age? TES? Dark Souls? HALO? Tomb Raider? lolz most of these were ported to the PC but are built around shitty console hardware, I will say that. But they are not shitty games. Go ahead and name a few PC exclusive games that were designed around and for PC gaming. There are a few like Half Life (one of my favorite games) and Portal and Crysis but the list is pretty small other than MMOs and RTS games. Without shitty consoles, you wouldn't have any Bethesda games past Morrowind.

EDIT: I love PC gaming mind you and first thing I would do is get a good gaming rig if I won the lottery. Grandma should start playing the numbers.

Being as objective as possible, there is only one thing bad about the PC. Game sales. People can spout rhetoric about STEAM outselling console game sales by a large margin, but if that was the real case you would see AAA studios throwing boatloads of money developing games with PC in mind, which has really never happened aside from MMOs. I don't currently own a nice gaming rig. Just can't afford it. I could save up for one I suppose, but the lack of PC exclusive games I am interested in has caused me to buy console games for a long time. 2 out of the 3 games that have made me think otherwise (Wasteland 2, Divinity, and Pillars of Eternity) have come to consoles and I own. Not saying that PC exclusive titles are all Steam Greenlight garbage, but I am honestly not into Dayz (I'll just watch a Frankie vid for fun) or Ark and if I want to get my MMO fix on I have FFXIV.

Not all console gamers are n00bs or not understand multiplatform titles are always way way better at 1440 and 60. I'm one of them. I guess quality games I am interested will keep me playing console games for the foreseeable future. TBH if a game like Bloodborne was a PC exclusive I would own a gaming rig already. My laptop is good enough for me to mess around with games like Fallout, Icewind Dale etc. for now.

DA IQ sold fairly well so I don't see any reason there wouldn't be a sequel in the future.

That and Andromeda I might check out. Expect more arbitrary leveling up systems in Battlefield 5 designed around getting the customer to pay to avoid the hassle. Personally I think EA and others prey upon multiplayer competitive gamers the worst. A lot of more casual gamers hate the grind and will pay to avoid it. The rush to the top of the proverbial mountain is fertile ground for making bottlecaps.

I'll wait and see with Andromeda. Dead Space 3 had micros but tbh I didn't pay attention to them other than remembering they had to do with getting resources with your droid or something. It's annoying to have that shit, but since it didn't effect my game other than the annoyance I could finish it. If Andromeda has MTs it might be the end of our relationship. I'm not paying for Dat Ass Miranda.

EDIT: I think if they put out another Dead Space game more in line with the first game it would sell really well. The series did go downhill with 2 and 3. Make it more like Resident Evil than a 3rd person action linear experience. Hardly any games of this nature in the pipeline since PT got axed, so there is a demand. My pipe dreams for today.
