@Thanatos2k: "My last hack was an awful abomination, but I SWEAR TO GAWD my next hack will be the hack-of-all-hacks! I am a lousy person and even though my previous hacks were all sh1t believe in me, the savior, as I shall pull a treasure finding dog out of my arse and win the day!!!"
Pretty stoked that the mana bar is returning after a 3 game vacation. The screens looked pretty good...I noticed that the one picture with the pyromancer holding a mace had a monster in it that looked a lot like the liquid-y students in the lecture building in Bloodborne. Can't wait to see what some of the builds look like...Come on April 12th! wait a second...ACKKK...my heart...aiiiiiieeeeee
@blprater: There are a lot of these "walking simulator" games coming out. I enjoyed SOMA and thought EGTTR was ok (imo not what it was hyped up to be). The problem is that with these types of simple games there is the danger of the genre becoming way mediocre due to how relatively simple it is to make them. Compared to games like Fallout / Witcher etc where you do more than walk / interact with objects and are subsequently much more intricate and difficult to pull off. However it is very hard to make simple games like these work because there is less to hide the lack of substance without having other factors that are distracting. SOMA did this pretty well... I just picked up The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and am looking forward to that one too.
I was pretty bummed to hear that PT got canned... as that game had atmosphere much like you described in your post. I hope SEGA decides to do something with Condemned as that IP was very scary.
