Some good answers here... E3 is not a competition per say, and so no one "won", however all Gamers have a bright future, and this does really belong on the E3 thread.

I was virtually there for the entire press conference of both Sony and Microsoft. I think the line up for both consoles looks really good. I am also glad that I have a PS3 and I'm looking forward to several games that are coming out this and next year.

I have 3 laptop's, a PS3 and a Replay TV all pulling IP's from a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. The only one that is wired is the Replay TV. I game daily on a laptop to play GuildWars, the Wife is on daily with her laptop and the PS3 is on daily as well. I have NO problems with my Linksys WRT54G router. It does need to be correctly configured, but once that is done, you are set!

More information about your specific question would be helpful

It sucks that your system has a problem and has to be sent in. That said, these PS3's have what a one percent hardware problem, that is expected of even the best created equipment. It's certainly not as bad as the xbox's THIRTYpercent failure!

As others have said many companies replace units with "refurbished" ones. It is going back to Sony, and they will give you a unit as aonther user pointed out, works great and was looking brand new. The refurbished unit should work as 'new' and will be tested by Sony to make sure it performs as expected before it is shipped back to you.

Sucks that it has happened to you, let us know how it performs and looks when you get it back.

It's not illegal if you own the CDguitargoddess17

guitargoddess17 is correct, and I do this all the time. When I buy a CD, I "Rip" it to a Maxtor external hard drive where I store all of my digital music. I then copy what I want to my memory stick on my PSP via the USB connection. I do this all the time. I have a 4GB memory card and keep about 2GB's worth of music on it at all times. If you own the CD you can rip it and use it on MP3 players which the Sony PSP qualifies as.

If you have capability to go wireless then I suggest you go that way. I have a wireless router (Linksys WRT54G) and play GuildWars on a laptop over a wireless connection. My PS3 is also on a wireless connection. As long as your signal strength to your router is ok, you will have no problems. Wireless is the future, its here now and its solid.

by the way... I'm a software engineer for a small company that makes hardware products utilizing wireless technology.

I recently got a PS3 as well and Resistance: Fall of Man was one of the two games I got with the system, the other was Armored Core 4. While FPS's are not my favorite genre, I loved this game. It was well done. A great FPS for the PS3! I like Armored Core 4 too.

Since I got the PS3 I have also bought F.E.A.R and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Go with Resistance for sure, Oblivian if you like RPGs and Ninja Gaiden Sigma if you are into fighting. I would avoid F.E.A.R until you have played all other FPSs on the PS3.

I don't have an HD tv yet, either. But the visuals are still NICE! However I do also have a PSP.

BUY THEM BOTH!
