If you have capability to go wireless then I suggest you go that way. I have a wireless router (Linksys WRT54G) and play GuildWars on a laptop over a wireless connection. My PS3 is also on a wireless connection. As long as your signal strength to your router is ok, you will have no problems. Wireless is the future, its here now and its solid.

WIFI will always be slower than wired, i thik wifi connect is like max 54mbps and wired is like 100mbps
That just isn't true at all. The only way this can be possible is if you are hooked up to internet that is faster than your wifi. Most people are not on 54+ Mb/s internet!

Sure you can, but you really should replace your wireless router if it doesn't work. They have a thing called warranties you can use in these situations.
