"I HOPE consoles ban used games, and I hope it effects console gamers."

If a console were to block second-hand games, that would essentially mean that people like me can't resell them to friends, family or people over the internet when I want to part with them. You might as well say that it should be illegal for an individual to resell anything may it be a piece of electronics, books, cars, etc effectively putting places like ebay or craigslist out of business.

For the record, there are far more second-hand games being sold through ebay and craigslist than any other place, that includes gamestop.

"How is this any different from piracy ?" So I'm a pirate if I choose to voluntarily resell things I no longer have any use for? I mean I resell things all the time which effectively make it second-hand. Anyhow developers clearly know there is nothing wrong with second-hand games, yet they are demonize as a means to scare gamers into buying DLC.
