No and for a couple of reasons...first of all its take the focus away from gameplay as one trend I've noticed over the past decade is the fact game developers have been giving the storyline/narrative too much priority and very priority to gameplay...the end result is dull gameplay where the storyline essentially covers up bad gameplay. Its like the trend in F1 where the focus is on technology as oppose to the skill of the driver...the end result is that fans are stuck with a sport that is producing nothing but dull/processional races.

Another reason why games should never try to be films is the fact it increases the cost of making a game. Why do I say this? To have a game that mirrors a book or film also mean game must have a budget that matches. Its funny how developers continue to complain about the cost of making, but in reality their pursuit of hollywood driving the cost of making games up as oppose to being an affordable venture.

Like California, New York is by far one of the most unfriendliest places for a business and mainly to due its high taxes. With that mind I can't imagine what developer in their right mind would want a start up there. Make you even wonder why more and more game developers are moving their operations to either Florida or Texas.

"Even Texas has twice the economic impact and twice the number of employees of New York."

That's because Texas is by far the most economically viable state to date and mainly due to the fact it doesn't have an income tax.

If you want to see extreme amounts of violence, I would suggest you read "The iliad"...homer's epic poem is far more violent any game ever made...and kids who are young as 11 years old is reading this stuff.

Going by the plot summary alone, this movie seem more like a straight rip-off of the movie Kart Racer
.

Overall if you ask me, PD would be better off putting their efforts into making a Tourist Trophy sequel as oppose to investing their resources into this.

@Dictatroll

To be honest, but despite the fact that I'll be getting a PS4 eventually, none of that appeals to me. If anything this just another demonstration of how console launches continue to be weak at best, the exception being the Dreamcast.
