So a good friend of mine just got a Wii U and we wanted to try out the Wii U Chat since we both haven't used it yet, unfortunately, what I got was a pop up stating Error Code 106-0612, so I cycled the home network and restarted my router and I'm still not able to connect. Anyone else been having this problem?

Do you have any people on your Friends List yet? Or have you 'followed' anyone in Miiverse?
I've heard that some Wara Wara plazas don't update until you do that.
Yeah I have about 5 people on my friends list but I haven't followed anyone. Followed some people and it still doesn't work, I called Nintendo and they have no idea either.
I think you have to actually interact with Miiverse before it starts doing anything, I have a bunch of random messages on mine now. Sepewrath
I have though, for 3 days now I still have the default nintendo miis, this is frustrating. I have no parental controls, am connected to the internet and can access miiverse, but WaraWara refuses to update :/
Yes, I realize this is a bold statement to make and I'm sure everyone has their own opinions about this statement, but honestly, the Wii U is the most fun I've had with a console in a long time. I can't put my finger on it, but there's just something about the games on the Wii U that always put a smile on my face, the feeling of a more interactive experience ala the GamePad which by the way, is completely awesome. The web browser is amazingly fast, the graphics are superb, the gameplay is fresh and new. I've gotten every single Nintendo console since the Nintendo 64 and honestly, this one is right next to the Nintendo 64, it is truly an amazing gaming experience and I look forward to the new ideas and the updates and the games that will come out. We're only a few days into launch, there is a lot to be improved, yes, but it's evident to me that Nintendo is heading the right direction.
Honestly, the Wii U is the most fun I've had with a console at launch in a long time, sure there were a few hurdles to jump over to get there, but Nintendo has me hooked, I can't wait to play some of the other games that are coming out and I'm looking forward to the future :)
