@buccomatic I think another issue, excluding the views already expressed, is that it would be horribly overpowered at times. I also think you'd have to account for different behavior as in your example if it had a low fire rate it meant in Borderlands 1 that the bullet damage was higher therefore larger ammunition. If you then made this larger ammunition fire at this fast rate it might make the gun uncontrollable due to recoil. Just my view on it. Better just keep searching for that better weapon in the "18 bazillion guns". :) Sorry, have to add this...

@LorenaLarue I hope so, CryTek is an awesome developer and I'd like to see them be successful. Unfortunately, if they are going to have a full studio on this they will need to generate income and, using a free to play model, the best way to do this is microtransactions which are honestly just way to much of an annoyance than just paying a base price and having the game end of story. However, I haven't heard anything about the russian situation but I will be interested to see if CryTek can pull this off.

Still don't want it...I like how he conveniently addressed it being high-quality rather than low quality and not addressing the "pay to win" side. As long as its Pay to win using microtransactions and "game-packs" then I want nothing to do with it.

Obviously they have to make money, but F2P has an infinite payment ability so one could pay $100 because it's his weekly pocket money and be at a greater advantage rather than everyone paying a base price. I just don't like it and I hope people will not buy into this allowing the laying of the foundations of future games to go into F2P.

@musalala I am not saying one is better than the other, which you have chosen to do. Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with ME3 but saying its crap is a little harsh. Bioware gave us a brilliant game, free DLC(something no company seems to believe exists), and after all the people b*tching about how the ending wasn't 100% like what THEY WANTED Bioware actually gave them some more. All comapies are going this way but I'm sure many people will argue that Bioware in fact are one of the more "customer friendly" developers.

Meh, greed is greed, they can defend it all they like. Anything that goes into a yearly cycle needs to at 110% to keep it fresh, which works in the beginning but gets stale. Most things get recycled and every other year become an expansion of the previous release. The only reason we get yearly releases is greed. Games are not like baking cookies or apple pie. It needs to be improved and 1 year is just not enough unless resources are heavily reused.

This is not so bad. The only thing I was was waiting to experience in this game was the singleplayer. Multiplayer had not even gained any interest from me until this article. Well, no problems! More time to polish the singleplayer. Looking forward.

Wow, their greed is getting worse by the day. The next EA, ruining games by overcharging, exclusive gameplay etc all while making millions at the same time. UBISOFT will not have my money! Do not let them steal yours(until it's on sale, ofcourse)

Honestly, Zynga have some balls, or their greed is too strong. I walked past someone playing this and I asked, "Oh, is this the new Sims game?". I was pretty shocked when she said no. It's a blatant rip-off and anyone who has played the original Sims games can see that.

I've never played a Zynga game, never will but doing such an injustice voids any respect for a company. In this case I'd like to see Zynga burn anyway.

So go EA! And die Zynga, DIE!

I love corporate p1ssing contests.

P.S. Hopefully EA will deface themselves by doing something greedy(like always) and then they will get a beat-down too. Then it's a win win.

You know, all these people taking a go at BF3, it really confuses me. Sure, bash the premium all you want but why bash the original game. I stopped playing for about 2 weeks recently and I played various other shooting games, like Crysis 2 for example. 2 days ago I booted up BF3 and I was blown away, just like the first day I got it. It just feels so good, like that pee you take in the morning after waking up(hehe that good). Sure it's got a few bugs, but honestly what game doesn't. BF3 is brilliant game, whether it's your cup of tea or not doesn't matter. I bought premium because its going to save me money, FACT. If you are not going to buy everything then just don't buy it, simple. It's there to make money, yes, but I save a couple bucks too.
