It may have had a drought, but looking at the PS3 only Last of Us was truly great. No other exclusive last year can come close to the likes of GTA5. You also forget that the PS3 took a long time to get going, only around 09/10 did it really start to pick up exclusives wise. MGS4 saved the PS3s ass in 08, it single-handedly managed to carry the PS3 over into 09 or so. Without that it would have been 06-October 09 absolutely nothing, then Uncharted 2 released.

People tend to foget that 360 had games like Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, Gears of War and Mass Effect that either didn't launch on PS3 or launched much later. Them games were far more important and heavy hitting then the likes of Folklore and Siren that the PS3 was getting at that time.

It seems to be the same this gen, Microsoft are securing games like Titanfall and Halo 5, while the PS4 waits it out for the heavy hitters to come. I will be getting PS4 in 2-3 years when it really picks up steam.

You're also forgetting that the PS3 had exclusive drought for it's first 2 years.

Revenue means little, outside of cash flow, if the margins are razor thin.

Opinions vary dude. There are gamers who feel the same way about PS3 & Wii exclusives. *shrug*. There a millions of gamers who loved 360 exclusives. Same can be said for PS3 and Wii systems as well. The games that came out between 2006 & 2009 included Lost Odyssey, Forza 3, Fable 2, PGR4, Halo 3, Gears of War 1 & 2, Crackdown, Tales of Vesperia, Ace Combat 6, Halo Wars, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, etc... . All very good games.

Sales say otherwise and aside from Halo and Gears, most of these games sold miserable. And isn't it sad that with as good of a series PGR was, the Lems would rather play crap like Forza? Crackdown was also very generic. The series didnt even have a dedicated dev team. Compared to exclusives on the original Xbox like Phantom Dust, KOTOR, Jade Empire, Morrowind, Mech Assault, Amped, Links, Inside Pitch, The Liandri Conflict, Conker, Ninja Gaiden, Riddick, Fable 1, etc, 360 exclusives were trash.

I would have loved to have seen a Mech Assault 3, Jade Empire 2, Conker 4 and Links 2. No idea why Microsoft didn't continue those franchises. A sequel to Riddick was on XBox 360 & PS3. 360 exclusives weren't trash to me. Tales of Vesperia's US version outsold the Japanese one on the PS3 in Japan, even with the extra content.

Yes. I know Amped was on the 360 and it was one if my launch purchases with the others being COD2, PD0 and Kameo. But it was shortly after, the studio was closed down. And while there were a few decent games on the 360 in the early days, it was mostly miss and still doesn't hold a candle to the 2001 - 2005 catalog. I also tried to get into crackdown. But compared to other sandbox games, it felt very generic.

And yes. A Riddick sequel went multiplat but did not in any way compare to the exclusive development of EFBB.

Forza is also very over rated. I own both Forza3 and 4. PGRis still far better. Kind of shitty that M$ let Bizarre Creations go to Activision.

When you look at what Microsoft has done to many of their in house teams as well as 3rd party developers exclusives, its hard for me to understand how people can support such a platform. Had Microsoft kept Bungie, Destiny wouldn't even be on the table. Just like other games Rare wanted to do, the answer would be no. You must make Halo.
