This is why I hate the new .5 increments!!! I want to see how this game is reviewed on the old system!!! But then again a 9.0 isn't bad!!! I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow!!!

when masses started declareing it the best game ever made or you only play a game like this once every 10 to 15 years. then yes a 9/10 is a FLOP.
So basically this game is as good as PERFECT DARK ZERO (360) according to gamespot. Get real sirs. Either do a retroactive review update (not reasonable really) or get off your gaming high-horse because your tough ratings at this point are just considered "inconsistent" and "flaky". That's my opinion on the matter.
Am reading a lot of comments from fanboys who say they no longer trust GS reviews or that they'll never post on GS again. However, this isn't the first time this kind of responds has happen to a review. We (people who have been here long enough) know what going to happen. The majority of fanboys will whine for the next few days, calling the review and Jeff all sorts of nasty names, but in the long run they will forgive him and even pretend to be his biggest supporters when he gives a high score to a game they like. A la, the very same lemmings that are now calling for Jeff to be fire, are also going to be backing him if he gives Halo 3 a high score.
It's like Zelda TP all over again... Wake up people. BioShock got a high score. Do you know how many games are going to even score a 9 this year ? Not many...

Mmkay, here's the problem I still have with the GS review. I can totally understand all the flaws in the game's difficulty being a problem... but why wasn't that mentioned in the "bad" section of the review summary?
Hi I don't really care much about the Bioshock review (which seemed low considering all the merit badges it got) but the title says if I don't post here I'll be suspended.
9.0 is a very good score people should rely calm down. But I am now worried about Metriod Prime. If Bioshock only got 9.0, I think Metriod will only get 8.5, Metriod Will still own but I just rely don't want to put up with the fanboys who will be all over it, if this happens.

I agree with you but you got to admit sometimes it feels like they pullstuff like this just to get more hits on thier site. or buzz over gamespot.
People gotta learn to relax here... 9.0 is an excellent score for any game, you guys are making it seem like it got a 7. Anyways, I don't even have a 360, or a gaming PC but I still would give anything to be able to play this game.
Jeff said this game is not as polished as it should be. Mass Effect and Mario Galaxy are still coming out (which has the potential to be truly great) and Metroid Prime 3 could be a great FPS.
Even the AAA, its clearly a Flop IMO. Almost every lemming hyped that game to be high AAA(9.5+) or AAAA(10) and Goty material, now its clearly none of these.

Explain then how a AAA game is a flop? Or are you just mad that the 360 has yet another AAA game and the best PS3 has comming up is Lair or a $40 download game?
