I may not like motion sensing in gaming hate it to be exact but I recognize the unique and often amazing things people are doing with the thing.

Is that guy defusing a bomb using Kinect ?! Wow, they would be better off just throwing random rocks at the thing, it would cost less and the result would be the same : detonating it, as I'm pretty sure the Kinect's accuracy would just turn 'pinch to cut the red wire' into 'pinch to pull all the cables from the detonator, then run around with the bomb above your retarded wall-e head, then boom'. The Kinect seems to be one of the few products that surpass McDonald's in advertisement vs reality discrepancy.

I think it's an add of the type Apple haven't done in like a decade or so. Apple adds have nice music and throw magical stuff at you, but they're closely concentrated on specific usages. It's been a long time since Apple did an actuall inspirational add like this.

It's funny, it seems like Microsoft and APple have switched places compared to 5-8 years ago.

Like I said a long time ago, Kinect is better suited for things like menu navigation than it is for actual gaming. This ad kinda just shows that.

Kinect (and the PS3's camera) would be a good alternative to TrackIR for the PC if they worked (on PC games) and cheaper. People need to look outside the box.

Kinect has always looked like an awesome piece of tech that would just not resonate with the core gamer. This commercial doesn't change my sentiment. Lot of great and useful applications, but I still wouldn't buy it to play Gunstringer or whatever games it has.

yes kinect can track your fingers, the reason why they don't on most kinect games is because the resolution is locked even though it can be higher.

Awesome commercial, MS are marketing geniuses. Too bad I like the commercial way more than I like Kinect.

I guess MS realized how awful Kinect was for games, so they decided to try something else. Kinect won't even be able to do half the stuff in that video. It barley detects when people jump.
