Best RPG ? ( Poll )

What an awful list. Out of those I would go with ME2 though.

I played each and every from my list , ME 1 & 2 ( 5 times each complete playthrough ) , DS ( 2 X ) , Oblivion ( 10 X ) , Fallout 3 ( once) , Dragon age Origins ( 2 X ) ... so no i myself don't've a life :lol::cry::P

1. Gothic 3 (with the community patch) - Best RPG this generation
2. Fallout: New Vegas (with paches, on the PC) - 2nd best RPG this generation, vastly better than the garbage that was Fallout 3
3. Neverwinter Nights 2 (with Mask of the Betrayer) - 3rd best RPG this generation.
4. Mass Effect (gotta love the the feel of the game, the mods, and the story isn't bad at all) - 4th best this gen.

The rest in that list is irrelevant, and the poll should be erased. TC, you definitely need to play some much better RPGs, not what the mainstream throws at us.

I assume this gen. Fallout 3/New Vegas for me.

Vampire - The Masquerade: Bloodlines The only game that made me feel that it wasn't a game, but a living, breathing world that required I invest myself emotionally only to be subsequently destroyed at the death of a beloved character, causing real rage to swell in my body and swear a vendetta against the Sabbat. It is one of those few games that recreated the PnP role-paying experience as good as a game could ever do it.foxhound_fox

My favorite RPG's this gen are Fallout 3, Mass Effect series, Tales of Vesperia, and Lost Odyssey. So one of those.

Even so, those are still the best (W)RPGs on the consoles, while the PC has even better RPGs than this. So I'd still call it a console-focused list. :P

Exactly ... Oblivion , Dragon Age , Fallout 3 , Mass Effect 2 all released on P.C and did great ... i'm getting bashed unneccassarily for including a PS 3 title Demons Souls .

If it was console focused i'd've included Final Fantasy , other console exclusive jrpg games ETC .

This thread includes multiplatform titles not console focused .

I beat every game on that list and Demons Souls is the best followed by Mass Effect 2.

From this generation, Tales of Vesperia, no contest. The Tales series is always the best when it comes to RPGs.

TESIV: Oblivion > Dragon Age Origins > Demon's Souls > Mass Effect 2 is my very own personal subjective opinion :)

That said, I never even tried a lot of the modded stuff that came later to Oblivion--I'll have to do that one of these days. I guess that if that was the case, I might go with Oblivion.
