Losing 0-6 is such a great way to start the season! :(

Don Cherry is back to talking nonsense, hockey is back!X360PS3AMD05If you've looked at his Twitter, his been talking nonsense for months :P Good win for the Leafs. Couldn't watch it unfortunately but heard it was sloppy. But 2 point is 2 points. And  @ Vancouver. Boy do they have a mess.
LOL @ anyone that thinks the Canucks game last night was anything but a one offCanuck3000It's a problem they didn't want to have...if Schneider and Luo play bad, they need both, and they were asking the world for Luo..and if he plays bad, no one will budge. Defense was really bad last night, tons of breakdowns. But some bad goals allowed.
[QUOTE="sherman-tank1"]Yeah....Well they need to put the puck in the back of the net. I agree. They haven't needed to yet, but the Rangers have their backs against the wall, and that is when a team is most dangerous. Bruins better be ready to score.Digging the Bruins so far.

Defense was really bad last night, tons of breakdowns. But some bad goals allowed. That'll happen when almost no one on your team has played for 9 months. They started last year off 5-4-1. They tend not to start off all that well. Lu played pretty good last night.
I really want to start following the league and a franchise, but I don't want to invest in a team if Seattle could get a franchise soon,monkeytoes61While I respect that. You don't know when Seattle is going to get one. I suggest either A. picking a team closest to you. B. Picking a team that interests you now. C. If and when Seattle gets a team you put that team number 1 and the team you originally followed as a number two. Nothing wrong with that.
I really want to start following the league and a franchise, but I don't want to invest in a team if Seattle could get a franchise soon,monkeytoes61I've always rooted for the Devils and haven't ever had a Western conf. team, but if Seattle gets one, I'd certainly consider them my Western-preferred. I'd not root for them against the Devils, because I simply can't do that, but I'd love to see them play considering how close they'd be. (I'm from Vancouver, WA.)
[QUOTE="DaJuicyMan"][QUOTE="gameeer1"]Tight game against Buffalo last night. Leafs deserved the loss considering they can't capitalize on a multiple 5-on-3 powerplays. >____> I sure hope the media here doesn't throw Scrivens under the bus after only two games! Because that game wasn't his fault at all.gameeer1Yeah I was shocked they couldn't score on the 5-3s. Looked just as bad as the Sabres powerplay  Just wondering, what team are you a fan of?I believe he is a Sabre fan.
I really want to start following the league and a franchise, but I don't want to invest in a team if Seattle could get a franchise soon,monkeytoes61I don't know if Seattle will get a team anytime soon, but I know what you mean. I agree with Swanogt. And I think the closest team would probably be the Canucks. And ya, if Seattle gets a team, just start cheering for them. I'm sure Jet fans did that. Good game last night. Miller was awesome. Just one bad bounce and a bad defensive breakdown and that was enough. Nice to hear Carlyle is trying to give Kadri more minutes. Wonder who starts tomorrow. Scrivens has been great, but in a short season..gotta get Reimer some action.

Great win for the Leafs tonight. Solid D, offense showed up, and Reimer was pretty good considering he hasn't played in 10 months. 2 stinkers, but still, solid. PK looks great..like McClement on it. Everything Carlyle said today about Grabo or JVR or did in game worked.
Lupul hurt though...*sigh*:(
[QUOTE="GT90"]See how they do once Briere comes back Hartnell out now too. No Schenn for a game, no Rinaldo, no Brierre yet, and the D is pretty bad. Could be a long 48 games....can't afford this slow start. Fractured forearm for Lupul...wow.Wouldn't think that the Flyers would open the season 0-3. Still time for them to turn it around but they look like a mess right now.

Also, that Nash to Gaborik goal last night to opening the scoring against the Bruins was naaaaaaaasty.gameeer1Gaborik's game winner was nasty. Putting the rebound (that was in mid air) into the back of the net. My girlfriend said that Rask could've done more. No way that is a goal scorer's goal.

Just some good hand-eye coordination on GaborÃk's part. :P
What a game last night between the Oilers and Kings. Rexall absolutely blew up when Yaky scored with 5 seconds left, I'm surprised the building is still standing! Those refs last night though were brutal, 17 penalties. Oh well, just glad my Oilers got the W.
Oilers is a fun team to watch. YOung players with lots of energy and charisma. Id like to see them make playoffs this year.Mkavanaugh77
Agreed.

I can't remember who said it, but I found it quite apt.
The Oilers are the most dangerous team at both ends of the ice.HNIC
They still need to take care of their defensive responsibilities, but that should come with time. If it doesn't, then they'll be battling again for a lottery pick.
