Hey_Big_Boy

that gfx card is good enough for now, so dont worry, and if u got an e4600, why not have gotten a pentium E2200? and id recommend a bigger hdd an faster ram, but dont worry for now, in a year or so, u might have to upgrade ur gfx card, but for now, happy gaming :)

GTX 280 is the new nvidia card coming out in 2 weeks. It's supposed to be ~50% more powerful than the 9800GX2.

So I moved my desk around a bit the other day. I like it this way :D

The inside:

Also, I ordered an alienware M15x the other day. Can't wait to get that!

pinkyfull

why did u get an alienware from my experiance they are REALLY over-priced you should've just made your own or upgraded what you had

Because you can't really build a laptop. Plus, it's not really overpriced for what I'm getting.

Good enough for now. Might want to upgrade your psu asap to around 750+. Then in a few months adding another 2 gigs of ram. then what about cooling. any fans yet also? you may want to invest in a cpu cooler if you end up OC that also. but good enough for now. Play Crysis? if not buy it ($40 now) and see how she does.

WHAT THE ****?!?! that gfx card sucks big time man, do this: switch ur mobo for a gigabyte ga-p35-ds3l, and ur CPU to a Pentium dual core E3280, with an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro, and mx-2 thermal paste, then, get a Geforce 9600 GT 512 mb gfx card, n ur pc will be at least the double of what u want now

Well it depends on the size ofcourse but for your average monitor I would say about 25 inches from your eyes atleast even if it's a 17" or 19" widescreen. You will not miss out on the immersiveness by just 25 inches.

I mean look at this pic.

That is just too close and you are gonna get a much better picture by keeping more distance.

I finally got around to putting my new desk together, and am now back to using my main rig. I still need to bring the surround speakers back in, but that can wait.

  • Craptastic roller ball mouse because I'm pro :)
  • Dell mouse mat

I'll get some pics up once I get my CPU cooler in about a week and get my CPU up to 4ghz hopefully. Anyone got any experience with the Scythe andy samurai master? I've heard it's very quiet and has some good cooling performance. My case is small so I can't have a huge cooler bigger than about 150mm and I want a cooler that's at least quiet as stock.

I know my speakers suck but I'm not an audiofile, eventualy I'll upgrade them to Z2300 ish, as soon as I have some spare cash. I should get a gaming mouse, but I can't find myself warrenting the prices of them.

I hope you realize your RAM is not actually in dual channel. You have 3 sticks therefore it is not in dual-channel mode. If you get another stick (1x1GB) you will be in dual channel mode, sorry to burst your bubble. :|
