I have a dell with no agp or pci card. Can someone reccomend a pci based video card that would be good for gaming. I only have pci slots, 3 mhz procc. 2 gig ram, so the to9wer naint bad, its just the video card, i wanna play nhalf life 2, it works now but is chopy, please help!flex2slickhi guy im afraid you are out of luck if you cannot use agp or pci express... most pci cards won't run half life 2 any better than what u have now u might not even have space for a pci card in your dell time for a new computer
I have a gtx 260 however i have overclocked it so could someone tell me where it would be on this list.. :)
Core clock 738mhz / shader clock 1584mhz / Memory clock 1310mhz
Oh and just to give you an ideathe default clocks of 680/1500/1250 already outperform a standard gtx 275 by 3%

Hey everyone. I have a HD 4770 on my PC right now and when I did some system tests I noticed that I can't play some of the newer games on max settings (except Bioshock 2, for some reason I managed to max or almost max that). Should I start looking for replacements right now? Or is it still ok to last me?Kenny789Anyone? :(

If you had to ask than I assume money is a factor in the decision. I say Wait for Dx11 to mature ala second gen cards.

Updated more frequently. ;) Checked it.. my card is probably about the same as a 280 give or take :) Didn't no there was a 4GB 5970.. that just takes the piss lol

Thanks, guess I'll just wait it out.Why isn't the list been updated yet ? It's been months since the 400 series has been released.AdjacentLivesThe OP must've forgotten about Gamespot. Just click on the link that says 5th, if you want a better list. Or do what I do, and check the TechPowerUp graphs.
Well he just a regular user, so either forgot or he just doesn't want to. He isn't obligated to update it :) Meanwhile, let's continue "updating"each other :DWhy isn't the list been updated yet ? It's been months since the 400 series has been released.

it would fall somewhere around rank 100.My graphics card Radeon HD4330 is not on the list. Is it that bad? :?

Until it gets updated than use OCN's list updated daily. Hope that helps.
Whee!! According to the list, my card 460 768mb which should be arriving today surpasses 4890 and 275 for $200 only :P
I suggest you join the 460 club like me.
Hmm. who would had thought ATI 4890 is more powerful them mine 5770 version. I should had done more research. Bigger numbers don't always mean better it seems. :)
please tell me: i got CoD MW2 and prototype i install them i open the game and i click start game.In CoD MW2 the loading bar was too little filled and i stoped there so just when i should start the game it frozen. it is same with prototype. I started and i skip the starting movie and the it showed me error.

This may of been asked but I dont feel like going through 37 pages. 5770 or 5830? I've had my mind set on the 5770 but the 5830 isn't really all that much more expensive. Which one do you guys recommend?Mr_Wes32
You can easily catch a 5770 on sale for 140ish. Otherwise get a gtx 460 @ 200+ pricepoint is cool and easy to overclock, I advise against a 5830 since it runs hotter and performs weaker.
Is there a notable difference between these 3? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130562 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130566 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130568Mr_Wes32
The first one is 768mb 192bit with 2yr limited warranty
The last two are 1gb 256bit with lifetime limited warranty, the last one factory OC'd pointless because you can easily overclock it yourself WAY PASS those miniscle gains with a click of a button.
Depends on the resolution, 1680x1050 or I can say 768 is enough, 1920+ res go with 1gb.
Another route you can go is hd 5770 now, and cf another one later two of those can bring you to 5850/5870 range.. I think.
I was looking for my old 7600 GS 512mb and could only find the 256mb version - was that a rare card or what? I ran everything up to and including Crysis on that thing and finally replaced it when I built a new system. It started showing it's age with a few titles, like Rainbow Six 2, but for the most part it was running games so well I started to wonder if people really knew what they were talking about in reference to card performance.
Why is 5970 OC on there???? Any of those cards could be water cooled and OC. Overclocking should not be on the list IMO :D
