Why today's kids look down upon religion ?

I don't look down on religion but a lot of religious people I meet tend to be disrespectful to other peoples views

Religion is what you make it and it's not a necessity in life.

Today's kids look down on pretty much everything. And I disagree that they believe in working hard.

Morals and ethics come from a good, loving home life and environment. In this day of easy access to information and technological advancement, its not really that hard to see why more people would be less religious. Not just teenagers either, thats just a generalization because they're more vocal about their views, and think everyone should care about them.

I need to become an adult already, teenagers take to much flak.

Religion is foundation of ones culture and ethics . Religion saves a person from doing wrong things as Sex , doing Drugs ETC kind of sins. Being Religious brings peace of mind .

Something is really wrong with today's kids . I blame Advancement of Technology and Fast Life ( Always running after Money & Pleasure ) .

Religion SHOULDN'T be the foundation of anything, we shouldn't need an invisible watchman to do things right. Are you actually blamming atheis for drugs cause im as atheist as anyone can be and i dont do drugs, and sex is not a bad thing, also why shouldn't i have peace of mind if i do things right, do you think only religious people do the right things? lol

Please dont throw bible verses around like they matter. VanDammFan 3:16..Nobody is perfect. But what you call laws of the bible I call common sense. I dont need someone to tell me NOT to cheat on my wife...I kind of "know that"...OR to not kill someone...You kind of are born knowing these things..Someone does something nice for you...you do nice for them...Its called born response NOT GOD.

Anyone can write a book of childish stories that contradict themselves every other page. AND there have been thousands of people that have come off as the masia to millions of people with their power and magic tricks..People back in the "bible" days were complete ignorant,easy to fool. Now days people have more common sense and see through ignorance "for the most part" that is..

Also. probably because their not brought up to believe it, if religion was unheard of to you until 20, you wouldn't believe in such rubbish, would you?

People have started to realize that there is more to life than what is printed in a book. In my opinion, humanity is evolving still and thus our frame of mind is going to change along with that. Christianity for example is not the foundation for religion. It was evolved from earlier forms of belief that existed before Christianity, and molded to fit the time. As we evolve people have come to see things in a different light. That does not mean though that they do not believe in something, just that they choose not to believe in the way that everyone else wants them to. Everyone should be free to believe in what they feel is right. In today's world, that tends to stray away from more of an organized religious approach to a more free spirited belief in life and the universe.

i know we have to be careful what we say about religion just in case anyone get offended or precious feeling get hurt.

but im 31 and i never believed in jesus or god. ive always seen religion as a pack of lies created by a bunch of men claiming to have the answers and pretend to know everything.

well the fact is that nobody knows why we are here, NOBODY. and anybody claiming they do whether its religious leaders or scienist are liars.
