Why is naruto still going?

its the worst anime/manga ever, extremely overrated, with an overly cliche plot filled with uninteresting characters and a lot of filler content (even worse than DBZ) and a very bad art style for an anime.

why is this still so extremely popular? I remember naruto was raging even in 2006, now in 2012, to see it so strong (and still with no ending...) is actually very...peculiar.

I guess it is just one of those things you love or hate. I personally skip all the fillers and jump straight into the main story because it is something to watch. I wont say that it is the worst anime out there but it surly does help pass the time.

I'm just yanking your chain. I acknowledge that there are better animes out there, but Dragonball Z holds a special place in my heart because it was the central aspect of my childhood. What I love about it are its unique illustration style, its unique mythology (Oozaru, Super Saiyan, Eternal Dragons, Fusion, etc), and its hard-hiting action.

Someone hasn't read or watched Fairy Tail, Bleach or Shaman King. Though in recent years Naruto has been pretty darn horrible with the Zombie war.
