Why is naruto still going?

its the worst anime/manga ever, extremely overrated, with an overly cliche plot filled with uninteresting characters and a lot of filler content (even worse than DBZ) and a very bad art style for an anime.why is this still so extremely popular? I remember naruto was raging even in 2006, now in 2012, to see it so strong (and still with no ending...) is actually very...peculiar.

the new era of 'mainstream/popular' anime pales in comparison to the dragon balls, pokemons, gundam wings and digimons of the old day.campzor

or maybe you're just blinded by nostalgia, i'm sure kids who watch these new anime shows will say the same about anime shows kids watch when they're older.

From that list he probably is, hell Gundam Wing is considered to be one of the worst Gundam shows and that's in the list.

Really, the Argument "It's popular because of kids" is stupid and baseless.

i loved it when i was 17, i still liked it when i was 21, i stopped following it around early 2011 when i was 23, but it had nothing to do with my Age, i simply thought it wasn't good anymore.

And, i know people who are older than me and like it/love it, and i know people who are (way) younger than me and dislike it.
