Terminator Salvation: 24% on Rotten Tomatoes

Many of you will be surprised to know that Terminator Salvation currently holds a 24% on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. This, to me and to many others, is very, very disappointing. I had expected this to be very well received from critics (and I'm sure many of you have as well) due to the awesome trailers and intriguing plot, plus Christian Bale's lead role. I am still going to see this movie, but I really hadn't expected this.

Feel free to share your thoughts on the subject.

It's on par with any franchise that's on its third sequel. This film could get 0% on RT and Metacritic and it will still rock the box-office.

I still have high expectations for this film. I mean it really could not be worse than 3.

All I know it can't be as bad as PT.3, Max Payne, the Punisher WarZone, Dragon Ball evolutionand both live action Street Fighter movies

I don't pay attention to critic's scores when it comes to movies and prefer to judge them myself.

I completely expected this. The extreme amounts of hype around this movie still confuses me.

It doesn't really feel like a Terminator movie since it breaks the time traveling formula. Regardless of the reviews I'll still see this, but I'm not expecting much. omfg_its_dally

Star of the movie was the star of last year's biggest movie + The fact that the first couple Terminator movies were both blockbusters and great movies + Some pretty cool explosions and stuff = Huge amounts of hype

I will never endure the mediocrity of Terminator 3, but I cannot lie: the trailer for Salvation was one of the best I have ever seen. But after seeing the leaked ten minutes online, my enthusiasm plummeted like a Zeppelin annihilated by a hundred clips of incendiary bullets.

How could I have thought a McG flick would ever be good?

Too bad that won't stop me from seeing it.

First of all, what did you expeect from a terrible director? More importantly though, who gives a crap what the critics think? How the hell does their opinion affect your enjoyment of the film? Critics are overpayed snobs and idiots for the most part and nobody should care what they think.

Meh, I'm still going to see it, I read the novel and thought it was pretty good.

There is still hope. Critics gave Wild Hogs horrible reviews but it turned out to be one of the funniest movie ever. But yeah T3 sucked. Why can't they get the guy who created T1 and T2 to create T4? Is it too much to ask?illegalimigrant

I didnt like Wld Hogs much, but the T3 director is much better than the T4 director. Watch Breakdown. The T4 director McG is a hack.

I don't just enjoy all the Pixar films like most people do, I'm actually a really big fan of the company itself too and a lot of the things they do and have done. In a way they have inspired me ever since I was little too with my interests in doing art and hopefully animation later in life... Yeah, I'm a different kind of fan. Every year when their new film comes out, I get really excited. They have yet to let me down. I even enjoyed Cars, unlike most people.

Ah I don't care. On an unrelated note Star Trek was frikken awesome.
