Also on the Piracy issue, a lot of older games (that aren't on GOG or somewhere else) are often only available for purchase used on ebay or amazon or something (and often at hugely inflated prices). In such a case you really aren't stealing from the devs or publishers, but actually from some a**hole who's trying to sell Breath of Fire for like $200 or whatever.
Do you think all this "authenticity" talk is just a diversionary tactic so they don't actually have to talk about gameplay? the last MOF talked up the authenticity of the game as well and then ended up being even more of a linear rail shooter that COD. Maybe it was supposed to be "authentic" but the single player game was basically a following orders sim. "Take cover here, wait for them to pass, advance there, go prone, take out the guy on the left!".
I'm glad you start with a melee weapon in War Z and are able to find other melee weapons in the world. That was something I always thought Day Z needed.
i imagine HL3 will run on Source 2.0 or whatever they end up calling their next engine. Like Elder Scrolls games, each Half Life has introduced a new engine. While Source still holds up this gen, it would be silly to continue using it into the next gen. My guess Half Life 3 will be a next gen game.
