@tiffanystarrxxx: Iuuuhhhh......because there are laws against viewing pornography if you are under 18, but no laws against viewing fake animated murder....Kinda the same reason why kids are allowed to watch cartoons where Wile E. Coyote falls off a cliff, but not buy porno mags.
Lot's of people in various articles are whining that an Asian actress should have been cast for the role. To me, it is completely up to the director. You don't like who was cast? Don't watch it...or make your own damn movie and cast who you want. But to say that an Asian should be cast just because the source material is Japanese is like saying that only Asians can eat sushi, or only Irish can eat potatoes. Race is only an issue if you make it an issue.
...Or they could just go with the fact that people are sick of seeing this series getting stretched out like The Hobbit...but no, they want to make up some convoluted excuses like terrorism, Star Wars, and perhaps the winter solstice.
$600 for an item that looks like it might be a gimmick item ala Playstation move and XBox Kinnect? I would pay $50 for it until they actually start making decent games for it and show it is not a flash in the pan. With that price point they are killing themselves.
@majikale If the game was touted as a single player experience, I'd agree with you. however, the online play has been a bragging point of the games for several months. Consumers have a right to complain if a product does not work as advertised...if they didn't, there would be no such thing as consumer complaint hotlines or a better business bureau. As far as companies not being able to test systems for a high volume of users...that is hogwash. Beta stress tests are pretty much standard fare for any online game in development.
@halo_elite_512 30 fps is usually the goal, since the human eye can't detect anything greater. That way more of the processing can be devoted to shading and other effects.
