The Soviets (or Russians) would be an interesting side, totally different from the current ones... With extremly cheap infantry and excelent T-34 tanks. Oh, and the katyusha rocket launchers... that would be great!
I was a bit surprised whenI heared the first details about the expansion to Company of Heroes. I was expecting to see theintroductionofthe Soviets as a third side. Instead of that we will see the British and the Panzer Elite... Nevertheless I'm still convinced that sooner or later the Soviets will appear in CoH. Maybe in a second expansion or something... What do you think?
Medieval 2 total war has the most impressive graphicsto me because of how detailed the buildings are, the textures, draw distance, and the sheer number of units displayed at one time is very impressive. COH does have outstanding graphics though.bachilders
You got a point there... Maybe I should have included that game as the third choice... That is definitely the most realistic looking game which presents medieval times and battles...
I love W40k... but, I certainly wouldn't want to live in that universe... I can't believe how many of you would want to live in a universe where "there's nothing, but war"... Remember, you would most likely be a simple civilian or an enlisted recruit in the Imperial Guard... now that's not something extra super... so, do not imagine yourself as some Space Marine or SM Chaplin or whatever... just think of your self as you are right now... unless you work in some military or police special force right now...;) than you would maybe be someone who is worth mentioning in W40k, everything else would just be a no one in the mass...
Oh,and if you want to live in a "universe" where there's nothing but war, go to Iraq or something...:lol:
So, when I first saw Company of Heroes, I thought that no other RTS looks nearly as good as it... This was true until the screenshots and gameplay movies of World in Conflict appeared. In my opinion it is still a close one... So, which one do you think looks better? Or do you think the graphic crown belongs to some other RTS? Please remember, that this poll is about graphics... I'm not asking which is the overall best RTS out there.
Oh,and btw, good looking RTS games, in my opinion, are those which look the most realistic, just like looking at a battlefield from above...
Yeah... I guess SW is an OK universe... especially before the Galactic Empire started blowing up planets :D... There was democracy, tolerance and everything what is considered good today...I'm not saying that it is an ideal universe (there was always evil and corruption), but it is the best I can think of... Unless we really want to call the Playboy Mansion a universe...:lol:
If you like RTS games which are more tactical type try CoH or DoW... If you want large scale battles with large armies try Supreme Commander... If you want a fast-paced, old-school RTS try C&C3...
Personally, I think the best RTS game currently on the market is Company of Heroes... RTS has never been as realistic as in CoH. It is the closest thing to watching a real WW2 battle from a bird's view... Anyway, currently I'm playing C&C3. I'm a C&C fan, so I like that game too.The Tiberium universe is a great sci-fi story. I haven't played Supreme Commander, so I can't tell you much about that one...
My long time favourite was Age of Empires 2 + x-pack... That was the only game I ever played competitively... That game was like a sport to me. I trained and everything, just like pros... :) For a long time it was the only game installed on my PC...
