@Jedilink109 If we were talking about Multiplayer games like COD or Unreal Tournament, I would completely agree with you. However, the driving point of the AC franchise is the story. For example, if you were watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy right now, would you skip the first two movies just because the third one is already out? No, because taking in the whole narrative is important. Same is the case with the AC franchise.
That being said, I do this that the AC2 trilogy dragged out its welcome ever so slightly; however, I'd still play all of them just to get that awesome story.
I would predict that Sony will be looking to get the drop on MS this time around, considering how much releasing second hurt the PS3 in its initial stages. Microsoft better shape up and get something out earlier if they don't want to get left in the dust.
Tom is completely forgetting about the ACTUAL defining factor of Most Wanted, which is the constant presence of the police. It set the original MW apart, and it will make this game different from Burnout
However, my point is that many tech-oriented people are going to own an Android or iOS-powered phone anyway; smartphones are quickly becoming universal. So, you can either play FF3 on something you own already, or you can spend another $100 and get pretty much nothing out of it.
Obviously, there are still people without smartphones who could maybe justify this purchase; still, I feel like a low-tech, non-portable gaming device will soon become completely obsolete.
