Hey guys, I just got a new PC and I'm running out of games to play and now I'm done with Skyrim, SR3, and AC:Revelations. Should I buy Battlefield 3? I don't mind the Singleplayer that much because I know it's all about the Multiplayer anyway.

I just want a good multiplayer game that can last long (like TF2).

Cheers for the advice guys

So I recently played the Hard Reset demo and liked it. I didn't think I liked those old school shooters but it was really fun, the problem is I don't want to spend $30 on one as I probably will play it in short burst seldomly. Whats a good one to get that will be cheap? The one I was looking at was Painkiller Black Edition ($10 on steam), is that a good one to go with?

Ok, I'm not trolling. Oblivion was a big disappointment, and with mods it was fixed. But with Skyrim, it's not fixable.

In Skyrim there is no longer armor degregation and repair. There is only a few armor slots, ala Fallout 3.

The faces look horrible. And 3rd person animations still suck. This game is being designed for the console crowd.

It's not being designed with PC gamers in mind at all. They are taking out so many main features and skills that have

been in the Elder Scrolls since the beginning. Now its just a stupid console casual game. You can hardly call it and rpg.

I bet the next Elder Scrolls will try to comepete with Call of Duty. Think not? Look whats happening to the game, and then

just wait and see. I bet it will.

There are many, many more points I can't think of off the top of my head. But this game WILL suck!

[QUOTE="ProvenLinx"]Ok, this is truly my last resort. i have searched on every search engine and thought of every way to describe it, but i can not find this game. Please oh mighty gamespot forumers...... help me. I could have sworn this game was called 'Project Aeros' or 'Project Aeiros'......or 'Project Something'.... nothing= what i found so, let me describe it to you. it was around 1998, give or take a year (1997-1999) it was like a real time strategy game, with the overhead view. kinda like command&conquer-style you had humvees and soldiers.. and you would harvest resources with an 'ore sniffer' the cool part of the game is when you complete a mission you would return to this "Office" where you could access different things. one thing was where you could hire scientists and assign them to research different units, weapons, vehicles, and stuff another thing you could access was this "stock market" screen with a list of different made-up companies that you could buy stock in. and you had a date & time in the game that you could advance one day at a time. This would generate "stock market" changes when you advanced a day. advancing in time would also eventually generate a mission that had a temporary window to accept, and you could accept missions or not accept them. if you accepted one it would go back to the "overhead RTS" -style game and you could build any new things your scientists researched. What was that game........ Someone please help! you will be the gamming guru if you name this !!!!!

could it be generals?

Battlefield 2 is one of my fav games of all time, love all those big maps with lots of infantry running, but sometimes like in bc2, i get pissed when you just respawn and die cos some one was right behind u blah .. or to hitmark some1 alot but at the end he just wont die...

In the other hand, i'm a big fan of oblivion, and i also love fallout series.

Don't know which one should i prepurchase first, at the end i'll have both but can't buy em at the same time. Which one is worth gettin first?

Thanks

maybe they are

So I keep reading responses on these forums that Skyrim is supposedly ugly. Now from what we have seen from the xbox footage, the game looks really good. It has a great art style that is overall much improved on Oblivion. Texturaly speaking even modded Oblivion had crappy textures. So from that standpoint this game already looks better. This game has vastly improved and realistic looking characters. The environments look so much more detailed and varied, plus people seem to forget this is a vast open expansive world. It's not like The Witcher 2 which has smaller environments. Speaking of The Witcher and Crysis, I don't expect this game to be competing with them for top overall graphics. But the reality is, it doesn't have to. I do expect to see an increase in texture sizes and resolution. The relative lack of sharpness would just be because of console footage. As a matter of fact I expect to see more graphical improvements for PC than a lot of multiplats, Mass Effect 2, I'm looking at you.

So Fallout NV is $9.99 right now on Steam, and I'm wondering if I should get it. I had fun with Fallout 3 and got bored of it very quickly and never finished it.Lonelynight
nahh forget it its just same as fallout 3, FO3 is much better because of big environment and stuff

Ok guys, so i'm happy to say that i've found myself with some spare cash, and since i've been in a gaming drought i need something to play and desperately.

Now for me the obvious choice would be The Witcher 2 since i enjoy RPGs, but is there something else out there worth mentioning? Maybe a hidden title somewhere. Thanks

BattleSpectre
just wait for battlefield 3 or skyrim
