GT Sport is an interesting prospect as its going in a different direction from F7 and PCars 2.

I'm definitely picking up F7 at launch as well as GT Sport but if I'm honest I am more interested in GT Sport because it is attempting something new.

I won't be surprised if F7 is the higher rated game as it is bringing an extremely robust package, but after playing the demo I was not hyped or excited... I just felt I had played another good Forza game.

I guess we'll find out soon enough with both launching over the next few weeks.

More power will always make a good looking game look better but art and design are more important than pushing resolution.

Have happily been a console gamer and been blown away by various games on said consoles, while knowing full well that there are plenty of PC's playing a lot better versions of the same game. I have never been tempted to build a PC just to get higher res or FPS because games are much more than that.

If all you want is to tout that you have the most powerful console for the next few years then the 1X is for you. If it gets a heap of games that make the most of that power then even better.

Otherwise I'd take Mario on Switch over any currently known Xbox exclusive, and thats coming from a long term Xbox fan which is pretty sad. Hopefully once 1X launch is out of the way they can start pushing new games.

I own both a 1S and a Pro so want to see both sides succeed.

I agree Xbox seems to sometimes get the short end of the stick come review time but they are somewhat responsible for the stigma related to the brand... not entirely but they did themselves no favours in 2013.

To their credit they have built a very solid echo system with Live and the services like Game Pass, which will only be more enticing once 1X launches. Their biggest issue is the brand is not as well known internationally like Playstation and the only way they can change that is branch out with new exclusive content and advertise the advantages Xbox brings.

Here in NZ you see the odd Xbox advert but it really is Playstation land with PS4 being the main platform and plenty of adverts with PS4 branding. Even trying to pick up a Pro was a mission with it being sold out for months at EB and other gaming retailers along with certain packages for the standard slim model.

Xbox has been my main console since last gen and I am over 10 years on Live so I want to see it go from strength to strength. I also want to see PS keep pushing forward and not get complacent with their success.

If you’re saying people will buy a Switch because of Mario then yes of course it’ll be a system seller. One of the best reasons to buy a game console since mario 64.

System is far from perfect but it’s still awesome. Once VC is added in including the promised GC games it’ll only get better.

Haven’t got one yet but played mates one and love it. It will be mine.

Played demo on 1S and impressed with how it handled new effects etc. Love Forza and currently my favourite racer but other than the added effects it feels like a Forza game. Not a bad thing but hardly worth major hype.

I know I’ll be getting a very good racing game similar to how good 6 was.

I know this is system wars but it is still disappointing to see these threads degenerate into a pissing match between a couple of people from opposing sides.

Would be nice to see some level headed discussion from both sides instead of the usual resorting to Cow and Lems bs.

I think Sony take more risks in new ip that may not necessarily set the world on fire but add depth to their systems offerings. Sure they do a lot of third person cinematic games but the stories are varied and in the end offer pretty different experiences.

It’s like saying just because Xbox have a lot of shooters in their lineup they only offer the same experience, which is obviously not correct since a halo fan wont necessarily like Gears etc.

Same can be said for Forza. A game each year but not everyone will enjoy both Horizon or Motorsport since they are quite different in racing style.

MS on the other hand have their core pillars which are almost certainly best in class and money makers, but they are a lot more cautious about new ip and experimenting with new ideas. That may change but currently it seems they will continue along this line while building on their services.

Just finished Lost Legacy and started on Horizon Zero Dawn and RE7. I’m in for some gaming bliss.
