@iambatman7986: Thanks and this is where I'm at. Power is nice but games are more important. If it wasn't for the 1X coming I'd have little to no hype for Xbox right now as I haven't seen anything that I personally must have... which is disappointing as a long term (10 years on Live) Xbox gamer.

F7 is great and is definitely the best looking racer so far but also feels like its sticking to the tried and true formula. FH3 is the best racer right now. GT Sport is going in a different direction which could go either way. Will give it a try as I do like GT.

Will always love Gears as I'm big into the MP and that is what I mostly play with friends when I can but that is hardly "exciting".

Cuphead is another I am interested in but not excited for. Will pick it up but won't be surprised if it is a good game but not great.

Other than that Sea of Thieves is the only other exclusive I am really interested in as I've been in the Alpha since the start and have enjoyed it a lot.

After the Direct the other day I am more excited for the Switch. It will be purchased but after the Pro at least.

I still have my 1X PO so will see what the next month or so brings.

@jorzorz: As I said in a post above, I have a KS8000 which I bought when the Scorpio was originally announced so either upgraded console will look great.

I think Switch will definitely be a purchase but not the next one. The Direct yesterday impressed though!

Anyway I sat down and looked at a heap of videos for what is coming up on both Xbox and PS and today I am picking up a Pro with Horizon & Lost Legacy. I will still play stuff like Cup Head and Forza on my 1S but can't miss out on games like God of War or Spider Man.

I think the biggest issue with the PS4/X1 vs Pro/1X is in 2013 the weaker console cost more while now it's as it should be so the power difference/price makes sense.

Chances are come 1X launch the price gap will increase if Sony is smart and wants to steel some thunder from Xbox.

@jumpaction: yeah I think that's the way I'm leaning, keep the 1S so I can still get my Gears MP fix and pick up the Pro for all the exclusives I haven't played and the ones coming. Big uncharted fan so want to play Lost Legacy plus try Horizon, Yakuza series (played 3&4 on PS3), Bloodborne, Nier and then GoW, Spider-Man and Days Gone in 2018. Will also give GT Sport a go.

Plenty to play really where as on my Xbox it will be PUBG and Forza this year then Sea of Thieves next year. I just can't commit the time to online games like I used to since you obviously can't pause when real life happens.

I can always pick up a 1X later, I just can't get both right now due to family life haha.

Oh and yes I have a 4k TV already (KS8000) which is why 1X and Pro are my main options.

@jumpaction: well I have owned every PS console and always enjoyed the exclusives... it's only really been since last gen that I focused more on online games hence why 360 and then 1 became my main consoles. Now I have a baby I'm looking for more single player focused games which is why Pro has come into the picture.

I think it's the thought of missing out on the new shiny thing (1X) that is giving me pause and making me second guess my decisions.

@mojito1988: yeah I've played a bit of Zelda and MK8 on a mates and loved it. Will def be a future purchase if not the next.

Surprised at the % from poll. Wouldn't have though Pro would losing by so much.

I think I'm leaning towards to Pro and keeping 1S since I'll still be able to play all the Xbox games. The Pro will still make good use of my KS8000 too which I actually got when Scorpio was announced haha.

@Chutebox: Haha yeah but she is only 5 months old and I'll game once she is asleep so no issues there. Wife really wants a Switch but will come out of my gaming budget so my needs come first lol (when she isn't around to hear me say that).
