I actually like Kinect, I love the fact that they actually try to make something ambitious and high tech work. The sensory systems Microsoft made work well together in Kinect was something that really had not even been made to work on a scientific research level. I really like that kind of ambition, daring and drive. That makes the world go forward.
Now I do realize that most of the games that has come out for it has been somewhat underwhelming but it takes time for developers to learn how to utilize new ways of interacting with games.
As for exclusives I really dislike the whole concept, they do nothing but hurt the gamers. The "fight" should be between consoles with their respective hardware and services.
One thing i think a lot of people are forgetting is that the PS3 did not do that well until quite late in this console generation for many reasons and in a lot of ways. Heck, I still don't really trust Sony not to get hacked again. I mean, you do realize that 77 million people got their personal information stolen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Network_outage). That was a new scope of epic fail.
Still I actually might buy a PS4 later on but I don´t think it is nearly as ambitious, heck it is still a 32 bit system, thats pretty depressing.
Anything game related made in Montreal seem to never reach their proper potential. It is the place where AAA games are made "on the cheap" and the results are often underwhelming.
I don´t know why this is but I really feel that almost every game made there have potential but just come out feeling hollow.
@Xenrathe It could be done if we could figure out how to "fold" higher dimesions, se the cool video linke below. We have some ways to go if this is possible. I think that it would be really cool to travel that way. But there is probably the problem with energy consumption, as always. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkxieS-6WuA (imagening the tenth dimension)
