@Grabboid First of all sorry about the late reply... second, no i don't like to be forced into buying things at all.. but the new kinect is a must have device, it got a ton of new cool features .. Even though im a gamer i love entertainment too. May i also say goodbye to the DRM restrictions!!!:)
Her eyeglass surely made her more hotter but it seems she only wear that to fit the occasion. Why does eyeglass always have to be associated with "geeks"? Damn it! Anna Prosser is hot!
2:15 ... Are these two morons brainwashed zombies or are they just trolling her? Not hating Xb1 but their comments and opinions are simply ridiculous.
1. I don't care about Xbox's launch titles or exclusives except Halo, but Halo isn't enough to keep Xbox afloat.
2. Xbox One's launch titles don't grab my attention like PS4's.
To each his own.
I actually like Kinect, I love the fact that they actually try to make something ambitious and high tech work. The sensory systems Microsoft made work well together in Kinect was something that really had not even been made to work on a scientific research level. I really like that kind of ambition, daring and drive. That makes the world go forward.
Now I do realize that most of the games that has come out for it has been somewhat underwhelming but it takes time for developers to learn how to utilize new ways of interacting with games.
As for exclusives I really dislike the whole concept, they do nothing but hurt the gamers. The "fight" should be between consoles with their respective hardware and services.
One thing i think a lot of people are forgetting is that the PS3 did not do that well until quite late in this console generation for many reasons and in a lot of ways. Heck, I still don't really trust Sony not to get hacked again. I mean, you do realize that 77 million people got their personal information stolen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Network_outage). That was a new scope of epic fail.
Still I actually might buy a PS4 later on but I don´t think it is nearly as ambitious, heck it is still a 32 bit system, thats pretty depressing.
I said to much, have a nice day.
Lets do some simple math real quick...System, 500.00+ 1 extra controller 60.00+ 1 game 60.00+ average cost of broadband internet for one month in the USA 47.50+ gold membership for one month 15.00=$682.50 ie TOOOO MUCH for a POS that won't work when they shut down their servers or if I move to an area with crappy internet service
I don't see a big difference in the price of the two consoles. The Xbox One is $499 and for a PS4 is $399 + $60 (for the eye camera) so its about a $40 difference. I will make my decision on the games. And for me I like the games on Xbox a little better.
I know just about everyone is favoring the PS4 but, I still have my doubts on whether Sony can actually pull through with this console generation. Their track record just hasn't been great recently and Microsoft still has the advantage of being a US company. Sony has better hardware than Microsoft. But then again, they did last generation too. It looks as though the Xbox still has the better controller which is extremely important for gameing
It really should astound me as to how many idiots attended those conferences. Sadly, though, I lost hope in the intelligence of the common person a long time ago.
And the host of the video is clearly not allowed to voice her own true opinion.
I'm leaning towards PS4. I just got super pissed when Don Mattrick saidd if you don't have internet, get the f*** out. That's not how you reach out to people you arrogant bastard.
apparently all the people that were asked the questions are clueless when it comes to M$ used games policy and the online every 24 hours system.. only a single girl mentioned that as the winning factor. so, either people don't care or they have no clue about M$'s stand... oh yeah... and those 2 retards saying they will be part of the "special club" of day1 X1 buyers.... those are M$ employees, otherwise I can't explain it... PS4 is the better console by any degree.
@MVan86 they are obviously joking
people keep saying, but all the costs are still there if you buy ps4, but YOU ACTUALLY OWN THOSE ITEMS, my original post states that xbox live will cost 15 a month, and thats according to an original statement from msoft, i dont know if they changed it, but it is supposedly more expensive this generation, but bottom line with xboxone, you dont own anything but a license for a period of time. so 682.50, to play a game and system until microsoft stops supporting it. or pay roughly 580.00 to play a system and game forever unless you break it...I choose ownership. go ahead and buy xboxone if you don't care about this, but you are selling yourself short as a consumer
@chromerican1980 OK, the price for the controller, game and internet will be the same for the PS4 I would assume that you would still like to play online with the PS$.
@rambus316 Dude, the PSEYE camera is an optional add on; you do not need it for the PS4 to work as intended This is not case for the XBONE.
@rambus316 But the camera isn´t necesary and on xbox if kineck dons´t work say nye to your console
@StrangeQuark42 Microsoft is a US company that is acting like Russia with it's restrictions on consumers.
@StrangeQuark42 ahm ahm sony outsold microsft this generation even when they released there console a year after. and yes microsoft has that advantage of being a US company
@mehrdad19872010 Im sure he didn't mean it that way, but it was a quite douchy line. He dug himself down a few more feet.
@Alexrmf They were being sarcastic !!
@Alexrmf Those guys are Mega64, the ones who always do the funny videos for GDC, so I'm sure they were joking.
@Alexrmf Those people aren't even right.
Girl said you can't share games with friends. You can create a 10 friend circle and you can share all games with those 10 people. You don't need to pass the disc around. It's MORE convenient, you just download each others games and share them.
The Xbox One Day One Edition does not cost more.
The Kinect is not always watching. It's only watching when it's being used, when it is off it is only listening for Xbox On and nothing else. You can disable, pause, or customize kinect's commands and sensors, turning off the "Xbox On" feature makes it stop listening entirely. The kinect only needs to be connected because it houses some of the processing power of the system and is used by some of the background OS's.
@Alexrmf I think they were being sarcastic
@diogofonseca I was just about to write that, I even started the sentence but then I saw your comment. LOLZ.
only her name is anne prosser. innit?
@rambus316 @chromerican1980 ps4 doesnt make online a requirement so people who dont want to spend that money dont HAVE to. this is the point that people are missing. I have no problem paying for it, but i know as a kid i didnt have the resources i have as an adult, and I think its crappy that my younger self would have been screwed if the xbox or 360 required internet service
@SD_Marksman @mehrdad19872010 It's just that Microsoft is so arrogant and they keep saying that what they're doing is the future. It's actually not. All the benefit of online connectivity is present for PS4 as well. The only difference is that with the PS4 you have an option and nobody forces you to do something that for some reason you don't want to. Microsoft has resorted to bullying. Either go to a rich country and get a fast internet or goodbye, we can do well without you.
I don't agree with their policy nor do I like it.
That's just some random guys post on reddit, I have no idea if any of that is credible, and yes XB1 will be able to play used games for a fee, now it is up to the devs to set this fee, and they were the ones pushing Sony and M$, so now that one of them bit and excepted this type of DRM do you really think the devs the ones who wanted it are all of a sudden going to be like no we don't want the extra money anymore you can just give it away for free all that time we spent pushing for it was really just a joke. I tried to get a link to M$ explaining it but even with all that is going on they still don't have anything on their website which don't look good for them, also on their YouTube channel they disabled comments, also don't look good, so then I looked at numerous websites that clam to be getting info strait from M$ but the funny thing is I keep hearing different things about the same subjects, looking really bad, so sorry I really tried to find something solid but it's either not out there or it's really hard to find.
That means that it's still recording 24/7, listening for what it needs to hear. I trust Microsoft. They won't override the Kinect's programming and use it to spy on you. But hackers don't have the same moral code. Xbox Live has been hacked before, and now, with Kinect, the incentive to hack is even higher. If someone gets in, they will have a live audio and/or video feed from every Xbox One owner in America.
Either way, I'm not paying $100 extra for a fancy microphone.
@Alexrmf And yes, it has used games too.
Anna Prosser Robinson, isn't it?
@mehrdad19872010 @SD_Marksman I don't think you need really fast internet to get this to work. But I agree with you, it's not a worldwide console, not by far. Not yet anyway. But they can't wait forever right? Everything we do is connected around the internet. And it feels like we are a hell of bunch many constant internet users.
Is it just me?
Ok I read the links again and you are wrong, I will paste what M$ says below from your link.
In our role as a game publisher, Microsoft Studios will enable you to give your games to friends or trade in your Xbox One games at participating retailers. Third party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale and may set up business terms or transfer fees with retailers. Microsoft does not receive any compensation as part of this. In addition, third party publishers can enable you to give games to friends. Loaning or renting games won’t be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners.
If you carefully read this you will see that it is up to the publishers to do what they want, and loaning or renting will not be available at launch, with no guarantees it will ever be possible. As for M$ exclusives it sounds like they will let you do what you want with them, but third party publishers can set their own terms, which the major majority of games are from third party publishers. When it comes to my game preferences M$ Studios only produces two games I would ever buy, so their new DRM would screw over anyone who wants to rent, trade, borrow, or buy used. The only way at this point that M$ can fix this is if they can get every publisher to put out a guarantee that they will not implement these new DRM polisies.
@Ne-Plus-Ultra Maybe you should try reading my post again. There is a link to a Microsoft Provided article for EVERY SINGLE point he makes at the bottom of the article. Including that there is NO FEE for used games. But, you could just keep being uninformed if you want.
@noah364 it would only be $40 the playstaiion eye camera is not included. It will cost you $60.
@noah364 Yea... just like Verizon would never give your metadata to the NSA!! NEVER!
@diogofonseca @Sydrum shit that's because she's MARRIED... to this guy http://www.stim.tv/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/INcontroLatAnaheim1.jpg
